Beverly Hills Sports Club, Condemns Continued Detention, of Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, calls for his release.

Members of Beverly Hills Recreation club, a lawn tennis association, based in Nnewi, has in strong terms condemned the continued incarceration of their Patron, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, the chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Ltd., by the officials of the DSS, even against the directives of a Lagos High court ordering his release within 48hrs  Raising, from a protest rally staged at Beverly Hills sports club Nnewi, the group noted with sadness the continued detention of their prime minister, whom they described as a man of the people.   While addressing the press immediately after the protest, the Acting President of the association, Mr. George O. Anambra 2017: Traditional Ruler declares intention -Rolls out 10-point agenda

Ifeanyiubahgate: Nnewi Youths Ground Commercial Activities in Nnewi, seeks justice for Ifeanyi Ubah

Youths of Nnewi community in Nnewi North Council Area of Anamnbra State, today, staged a peaceful protest, demanding the release of Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah over the continued incarceration of their brother, the chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Ltd., by the officials of the DSS. The youths, under the aegis of “Nnewi Youth Forum”, carried placards and marched through major streets of the industrial city chanting songs depicting anger, and frustration over the continued detention of their brother and mentor.   The youths carried inscriptions in some of the placards which read: “DSS, obey court order”; “Please, take Ifeanyi Ubah to court, we are in a democratic state”; “This is democracy, not military rule”; “Is there no more respect for rule of law and human right in Nigeria?”; among other inscriptions. NIOF EXTENDS FREE MEDICAL CARE TO ANAMBRA

Nnogha-Ifeoma Okeke Foundation( NIOF) over the weekend extended its free health care delivery service to Mbanagu, Otolo Nnewi, in Nnewi North L.G.A of Anambra state, to carter, for the health needs of people in the area. Emeakayi seeks 24-hour police protection, calls on Anambra Police Commancd to investigate his petition

The Acting Chairman of the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, was for the second time in three months, rejected by the Senate, yesterday, as the upper chamber refused to confirm him as the substantive chairman of the anti- graft agency after screening him for about one hour forty minutes. Court bars APC from Anambra Central senatorial election

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dashed the hopes of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Anambra Central senatorial district election as it dismissed the suit by Sharon Ikeazor seeking to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to accept her as a substitute for Dr Chris Ngige. Ikeazor had dragged INEC before Justice Anwuli Chikere, asking the court to compel the electoral umpire to accept her as the candidate of the party in place of Ngige who has withdrawn from the election. However, delivering judgment on, Justice Chikere held that the time for political parties to nominate candidates for elective position in respect of the 2015 elections had elapsed. The crisis in Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, continued yesterday, with the two key actors, Chairman of the national caretaker committee of the party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, and national chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, accusing each other of working against efforts at restoring peace.
