Our Strongest Point in this Election is the Youths -Dozie Ikedife

The APC Deputy Gubernatorial hopeful in this year's guber election in Anambra State, Dozie Ikedife says that there strongest point, going into the election is the youths of state.  He made this assertion today in his country home at Nnewi, when he granted audience to Otolo Youths. He stressed that the in coming government of Dr Tony Nwoye will change the face of governance in the state, bearing in mind that the youths have been short changed because of the ineptitude of the incumbent who has in the last 3 and half years squandered the fortunes of the state, which amounted to over 455 billion in allocations and IGR.  He opined that the government of Dr Tony Nwoye will ensure that governance is transparent and fair. He condemned a situation where the government of Willie Obiano will appoint over 600 SAs who have no office or portfolio to man. He however wondered how these SAs will advise the governor and in which capacity, they will advise the governor. He pointed out that the youths

CORRUPTION: LIKE GOV OKOROROCHA, LIKE PRESIDENT ZUMA.

J ust last night I watched live on AIT, a most wasteful reception of corrupt President Jacob Zuma of South Africa and Governor Rochas Ethelbert Okorocha of Imo State. Ironically, on the same day the South African Supreme Court had earlier ordered the reinstatement of the corruption charges of money laundering and diversion of contracts against Zuma. President Jacob Zuma has definitely found an ally in Governor Ethelbert Okorocha. Two very corrupt and unpopular rulers from Africa. Imo indigenes know that the visit of Jacob Zuma is of no political, economic or social benefits to Imo people. The visit further adds to the rape of the economy of Imo State with Imo Governor, Ethelbert Okorocha having flown uncountable shuttles in his private jets to South Africa. We know that this visit by Jacob Zuma is another devious round of money laundering by Ethelbert Okorocha taking advantage of the diplomatic baggage of an equally corrupt Jacob. We call on Jacob Zuma to go home and face the cor

Nigeria to the rescue

I read it at about 3am today, 12th October 2017. It's now about 5am, and I haven't been able to sleep since. So I've decided to write down the thoughts that have kept me awake. Firstly I will give highlights of the article. Then I will comment. Highlights: 1. 90% of the networth of Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, comes from his cement business. 2. Dangote Cement controls 65% of Nigeria's entire cement market. 3. In 2013, Dangote Cement had the highest profit margins of any cement producer on earth - 52%. China's Anhui Cunch Cement came in second - at 17.8%. 4. In 2015, average profit margins of cement producers worldwide was 17.2%. Same 2015, Dangote Cement *reported* a profit of 42.3%. 5. In June 2016, the World Bank reported that cement prices in Africa averaged $9.57 per 50kg bag while the world was paying $3.25 (about one third of what Africans pay) 6. How has Dangote Cement been able to retain such a huge market share at such excessively high p

YEMI OSINBAJO, SAN, GCON, WHEN HE RECEVIED GIRL-CHILD ADVOCATES FROM ABUJA SCHOOLS ON THE COMMEMORATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD AT THE STATE HOUSE, WEDNESDAY, 11 OCTOBER 2017 Let me first say that this is really a wonderful idea today in celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child. I think it is a very important way to celebrate it, first to celebrate the great success of Blessing, whom I am told had the best result in the Junior Secondary School Examinations.  I have had a chance to look at the result, she seemed to have gotten As in all of the 18 subjects except one. I think it was 17 As and
