POLICE NAB TWO NOTORIOUS ROBBERY SUSPECTS RECOVER FIREARMS.

Anambra state police command has arrested two notorious armed robbery suspects in its renewed efforts to stamp out crime in the state. This was made possible,following   intelligence reports gathered by police detectives attached to Ogidi Division, which led to the  arrest of one Leonard Aghano 'm' aged 27 years of Ekwulu village Umuoji at Akuzor Nkpor in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State. Buhari declares assets , says he has no new houses or shares

President Muhammadu Buhari submitted his asset declaration forms to the Code of Conduct Bureau on Tuesday, meeting the May 28 deadline the bureau set for public officers to make their end of tenure declaration. Buhari will be inaugurated for a second term on Wednesday (today) for another four years. Governor Willie Obiano has been called upon to  as a matter of urgency review the security and traffic situations at Upper Iweka and Bridgehead, Onitsha in Anambra State. Anambra Heaps of Dirt a Prelude to Epidemic

The heaps of dirt lettering the streets of Anambra state is not only worrisome but embarrassing, going by the fact that the state is a gate way to the south east. The neglect of these waste bins by the state government is giving the people of the state sleepless nights because of the envisaged epidemic that can result from such neglect. The state government should know that the essence of governance is to be responsive to the yearnings of Ndi Anambra. Anambra has not being Lucky in the past when epidemics occurred. Students desert hostels in Imo communities over alleged police crackdown, extortion

A relentless police crackdown on students residing in hostels at Umuoma, Umuerim and Umuokomochi communities, near Owerri, is forcing students to flee their hostels. The Human Rights Liberty Access and Peace Defenders Foundation (HURIJE) has asked the Anambra State Police  Command to implement its decision to  impound political party and unmarked vehicles in the State as from 1st June, 2019.
