The newly constituted committee set up by the Imo State government charged with the responsibility of preventing the entry of the Coronavirus otherwise called Covid-19 into the state has reassured on their readiness to safeguard the citizens from the pandemic. In a press conference held at Odenigbo Guest House, Government House Owerri, on Monday, the Chairman of the Task Force, Prof. Maurice Iwu said that the state has taken necessary measures to keep the virus away from the state. He said that aside the effort made to massively sensitize the people about the scourge, there is need for the people to adhere strictly to hygienic and sanitary protocols of regular washing of hands, social distance, minimize unnecessary travels, applying hand sanitizer, wearing face mask, coughing into the elbow among others. Prophet Chidi Anene( Akanwemadu) has proffered a remedy that will help cure and flush out the corona virus. In this interview with Echezona Okafor in at his country home in Nnewi, he reviled the remedy for the cure of corona virus. He asked that the world should test and also confirm it. He stressed that the remedy was reviled to him in a dream. He however asked the country Italy to stop re writing the bible, that God is not happy with them, the reason the virus came hard on the country. He also asked the country to make peace with Israel to further stop the calamity.  On the remedy he proffered, he asked that US doctors should test it, because he is aware that Nigerian health workers will doubt it. The World Health Organization says that at least 20 coronavirus vaccines are currently in development in the global race for a cure. The first human trial, by the Boston-based biotech firm Moderna, is already underway. “Going from not even knowing that this virus was out there, which we then identified it as being a cause of infection in China in January, to have any vaccine that we can actually initiate a clinical trial in about two months is unprecedented,” said Dr Lisa Jackson, the Kaiser Permanente investigator leading the first human trial. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma says that he will shock the people of Imo with breathtaking achievements in the next 12 months of his administration.
