Prince Charles has tested positive for coronavirus after displaying symptoms and being tested by the NHS in Aberdeenshire. The Prince of Wales has reportedly been displaying mild symptoms according to a Clarence House spokesman. The released statement said: “The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus. “He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual. “The Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested but does not have the virus. In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland. “The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing. “It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.” We’ll bring you all of the news as it happens through

President Yomi Osinbajo speaks against Police Harassment, Extra Judicial Killings and need for the senior police officers to curtail the excesses. The newly constituted committee set up by the Imo State government charged with the responsibility of preventing the entry of the Coronavirus otherwise called Covid-19 into the state has reassured on their readiness to safeguard the citizens from the pandemic. In a press conference held at Odenigbo Guest House, Government House Owerri, on Monday, the Chairman of the Task Force, Prof. Maurice Iwu said that the state has taken necessary measures to keep the virus away from the state. He said that aside the effort made to massively sensitize the people about the scourge, there is need for the people to adhere strictly to hygienic and sanitary protocols of regular washing of hands, social distance, minimize unnecessary travels, applying hand sanitizer, wearing face mask, coughing into the elbow among others. In this interview with Echezona Okafor in at his country home in Nnewi, he reviled the remedy for the cure of corona virus. He asked that the world should test and also confirm it. He stressed that the remedy was reviled to him in a dream. He however asked the country Italy to stop re writing the bible, that God is not happy with them, the reason the virus came hard on the country. The World Health Organization says that at least 20 coronavirus vaccines are currently in development in the global race for a cure. The first human trial, by the Boston-based biotech firm Moderna, is already underway. “Going from not even knowing that this virus was out there, which we then identified it as being a cause of infection in China in January, to have any vaccine that we can actually initiate a clinical trial in about two months is unprecedented,” said Dr Lisa Jackson, the Kaiser Permanente investigator leading the first human trial. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the Federal Ministry of Health have confirmed an exclusive report by The PUNCH as regards the existence of three new cases of COVID-19 in Abuja, the nation’s capital. The NCDC said on Twitter that the patients had been quarantined. The ministry said seven other cases were recorded in Lagos State. The statement read in part, “The Federal Ministry of Health has confirmed 10 new cases of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria. Three new cases in the Federal Capital Territory and seven new cases in Lagos State. “This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 22. All 10 new cases are Nigerian nationals. Nine of them have travel history to Canada, France, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom. “They returned to the country in the last one week. The 10th case is a close contact of a previously confirmed case. The three cases in the FCT are being treated at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada

American singer and actor, Kenny Rogers, has died from natural causes, his family has announced. He was 81.
