The Governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano has declared a twenty four - hours curfew in the state starting from 8pm today, Thursday, October 22nd, 2020. Governor Willie Obiano who made this declaration in a statewide broadcast said it was necessary to nip in the bud the envisaged unpleasant incidents that has been recorded so far in the state as well as the rising tension in the country. He stated that the anger of #EndSars protesters is justifiable, but tasked the protesters to be peaceful in carrying it out. Consequently, Governor Obiano declared that all schools and markets in the state have been closed down, stressing that all large gatherings in any form are banned. He said that the security agencies are on notice to do the needful, asking them to resist all efforts to provoke them to the use of extreme force. The Human Rights,Liberty Access and Peace Defenders Foundation (HURIDE) has  unequivocally comdemned  the  coordinatef jailbreak in two Benin prisons in  Edo State and wanton destruction of lives and properties by suspected hoodlums who infiltrated the  End SARS protesters. The miscreants under the cover of End SARS protesters broke into the Prison in  Benin and set the notorious criminals free especially over 130 serving different life sentences. These has fuelled speculation that most of the protesters are criminals who wants to use the protest to commit heinous crime by invading prison yards and forcefully releasing suspected bandits serving different jail terms in the two prisons. Founder and Spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra state, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Fr. Ebube Muonso, has narrated how he escaped death by the whiskers when suspected cults boys in his community, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, attacked him because of a sermon he preached in the church. The Igwe in Council of Ukpo Community in Dunukofia LGA of Anambra state has suspended, Mr. Boniface Nwabuike and Mr Ifeanyi Omeokachie from the Cabinet of HRH Igwe R.C Eze, for going against the norms of the Cabinet, which has painted the Igwe In Council of Ukpo community in bad light. In a notice of Indefinite suspension, signed and made available to Nigerian Notch, by Ichie Emma Ogbuka acting Ide, and Traditional Prime Minister of Ukpo Community, with Ichie Raphael Akude. Chairman Cabinet committee on ethics, rules & privileges, reads thus:  "The Igwe in Council in an extraordinary meeting held today the 18th of October 2020, reviewed your recent activities and noted with utter dismay the fact that you engaged in activities unbecoming of onye Ichie Ukpo and consequently in a unanimous decision, resolved to suspend you indefinitely as a member of Igwe in Council in Ukpo."
