CP ABANG DECORATES NEWLY PROMOTED OFFICERS IN ANAMBRA

.........Task them to rededicate themselves towards national service.  The commissioner of police in Anambra state, CP John Abang, following approval by the Police Service Commission for the promotion of Senior Police Officers on the recommendation of the Inspector-general of Police *IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu NPM,mni,has decorated 21 police officers in the command. The officers who benefited from the promotion in the Command are one Commissioner of Police CP Christopher Adetokumbo Owolabi,two Deputy  Commissioners of Police DCPS David Iloyanomon,and Osagie John Agans-Irabo,two Assistant Commissioners of Police including DPO B' Division now ACP Emmanuel Anene Ogbuanya and Sixteen(16) Chief  Superintendents of Police(CSPS). Metuh Jets out to UK for Medical Treatment

Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh, has departed the country for medical treatment of his protracted spinal cord ailment. The former PDP spokesman was sighted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Wednesday evening on crutches, accompanied by some family members and close associates. Reprieve came to Metuh following December 16, Appeal Court judgement annulling his conviction by Justice Okon Abang on the grounds of bias, consequent upon which Justice Nkeonye Maha of the Federal High Court, on December 24, granted him bail, and ordered the release of his international passport for a period of 45 days to travel within and outside the jurisdiction of the court. It would be recalled that Justice Abang had rejected several applications by Metuh to travel for medical treatment. At some point, the trial Judge ruled against receiving any medical report from any hospital or doctor in Nigeria and Metuh was brought to court

The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District and National Leader of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was in Oraukwu yesterday  to celebrate with the Vice-President General of Ọhaneze Ndị Igbo Worldwide, Chief Charles Odunukwe popularly known as Chardon who gave out his daughter in marriage. Ndiakwu Otolo Nnewi Ultra Modern Hall, opens 31st December 2020.

The National President of Ndiakwu Otolo Nnewi, Hon Jude Osumouh has restated the readiness of his community to officially open its ultra modern hall and event complex on the 31st of December 2020. He made this known yesterday, while interacting with newsmen at his office. He went down memory lane to recount the exploits Ndiakwu Otolo Nnewi community has made in the past in Nnewi, stressing that his community have also led the way for others to follow. He said as pacesetters, his community in 1973 established the first vigilante group in Nnewi to combat crime. He said that was possible because of the unite of purpose which has been the benchmark of his community. He however commended the efforts of Chief John Anya(Omeifeukwu Nnewi) a man he described as a high spirited individual, who used his personal resources to sponsor the activities of Ndiakwu Otolo community from 1970 till the period he handed over power. 2023 Presidency: Ndigbo should put their house in order- George Moghalu

The Managing Director (MD) of National Inland Water Ways (NIWA) Chief George Moghalu has called on Ndigbo to work hard in their bid towards ascending the presidency, in 2023. Chief Moghalu made this known in an interactive session with newsmen at his country home in Nnewi. He said that the need to work hard has become imperative because power is not given, rather power is taken. He said since the inception of democracy in Nigeria that Igbo's have not ascended the presidency, stressing that, there is need for Ndigbo to sit down and get organized for the Igbo presidency project. “Every zone wants to have the presidency, for me, I will like the Nigerian president to come from Nnewi, possibly from my family, because of the positive impact it will have on the community. “But the truth is that we are not talking about president of Igbo nation,  but a Nigerian President who will be from Igbo extraction.
