Ohakim joins APC

Former governor of Imo State, Chief Sir, Dr. Godson Ikedi Ohakim has formally joined the All Progressives Congress APC. The Isiala Mbano born administrator and politician since his last outing at the 2019 General Elections, has choosen to watch from the sidelines. However there has been pressure on the former governor to join a political party, as he has remained apolitical since 2019, right from the brief era of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, and the Senator Hope Uzodinma APC government. The leadership of the APC in the state, led by the State Party Chairman, Chief Marcon Nlemigbo, had paid the former governor a visit at his residence at Prefab in Owerri recently, to appeal to him to join the party. ICAN CHAIR COMMENDS EEDC FOR CONSISTENT IMPROVEMENT IN ITS SERVICE DELIVERY.

The Chairman, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Enugu and District Society, Mr. Emmanuel Ekene Nnamani, has commended the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) for the consistent improvement in the quality of its services in Enugu and other states within its coverage area. This commendation was made by the ICAN Chairman on Friday in Enugu during a courtesy visit to the EEDC Corporate Headquarters, in company of members of his Executive Committee. The ICAN team was received by the Managing Director/CEO, EEDC, Engr. Praveen Chorghade, in company of the Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Paul Okeke and other management staff. I didn’t claim to “dislodge” other Imo politicians —Ohakim

Chief Ikedi Ohakim has debunked the claim that he has dislodged other politicians in Imo.  In a press release made avaliable to Nigerian Notch Newspaper, the special assistant media, to the former governor, Emmanuel Chukwu stated that the claim is false and does not reflect the true position of what happened in Owerri over the weekend. The release reads thus "The attention of His Excellency, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, has been drawn to a blog, by one Emma Okeahialam, purported to be a report on the recent meeting between His Excellency and executive members on the Imo state wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by its chairman, Prince Marcelenus Nlemigbo. His Excellency wishes to categorically state that the claims in the blog are outright falsehood and nothing but the figment of the imagination of the writer. At no time during the meeting did the former governor say, for instance, that his planned entry into the APC will, to employ the very words in the fake news, “

IMO STAKEHOLDERS TO UZODIMMA, IMOLITES ARE HAPPY WITH YOU.

It was an overwhelming jolly ambience on Saturday at the gathering of Imo State Stakeholders that cut across politicians, businessmen, clergy and traditional rulers in the Owerri City capital. IMO IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS, UZODIMMA TELLS INVESTORS

Governor Hope Uzodimma has declared Imo State investment free for investors who wish to establish their business in the State. Rendering account of stewardship during the State  Stakeholders meeting on Saturday, he stated that his administration has fashioned out irresistible incentives to woo investors.  Uzodimma noted that *investment-friendly* polices *have* been put in place to benefit the state  and investors. "The State has great potentials for tourism development and we *cannot* explore that without having the requisite *infrastructure* update supportive of such investment that drives on security, aesthetics, good road networks, hospitable environment and reliable transportation system". IMO ASSEMBLY PASS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON UZODINMA & 3R ADMINISTRATION

Yesterday, at the Imo Stakeholders Meeting with the 3R Government of His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, members of the Imo State House of Assembly passed a vote of confidence on the Governor and his Shared Prosperity administration having scored well above expectations in governance. The Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly who was present at the epoch event with Principal officers of IMHA and other members, expressed satisfaction over the management of Imo affairs under the Shared Prosperity administration, conforming with the rule of law and citizens yearning.
