PSC PROMOTES 2AIGs TO DIGs, 6 CPs TO AIGs, others

The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of  two Assistant Inspectors-General of Police to the next rank of Deputy Inspectors-General; it also approved the promotion of six Commissioners of Police to Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and the elevation of seventeen Deputy Commissioners of Police to Commissioners of Police. The Commission also approved the promotion of twenty four Assistant Commissioners of Police to the next rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police; forty nine Chief Superintendents of Police to the rank of Assistant Commissioners. It also endorsed the elevation of seventy four Superintendents of Police to Chief Superintendents and eight hundred and sixty six Deputy Superintendents of Police to Superintendents. The Commission took these decisions at its 13th Plenary Meeting which held in Abuja on Monday, December 20th and Tuesday, December 21st, 2021 before it adjourned to January 2022 to continue with further deliberations. OCDA EMBARKS ON OPERATION ZERO SHANTIES IN OWERRI.

Imo State government through one of her agencies Owerri Capital Development Authority, OCDA, launched  "Operation reclaim the streets of Owerri Capital Territory from shanties", on Tuesday. Leading his team on a long campaign road walk, the  Special Adviser and General Manager of the agency, Engr Francis Chukwu, visited major streets of the city, they include; Hospital junction Ph road, World bank roundabout,Dream land junction,Control Post junction,Douglas, Wetheral road, Emmanuel College junction,Naze number one bus stop,Imsu junction and  Akwakuma junction.  He appealed to occupants of Shanties and street traders to relocate to designated approved markets by the State government on or before 10th January, 2022, while opining  that failure to do this will result to the agency taking drastic measures in restoring sanity on the streets. APC constitutes convention committees

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its resolve to set up budget and other committees ahead of its February national convention. Addressing newsmen at the end of a meeting that the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the party held at the APC National Secretariat on Monday in Abuja, Secretary of the Committee, Sen Akpanudoedehe, said the committee also reviewed its activities in the last one year.   The top echelon of the APC had recently met with President Muhammadu at the State House in Abuja, where it was resolved that the party’s convention would be held in February, but no specific date was agreed upon. IGP ORDERS INVESTIGATIONS INTO ALLEGED EXTORTION OF 22 MILLION NAIRA WORTH OF BITCOIN

- Assures discreet and transparent investigations The Nigeria Police Force has commenced investigations into the alleged professional misconduct, abuse of office and extortion of Twenty-Two Million Naira worth of Bitcoin from some citizens in Lagos State, levelled against a Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nwawe Cordelia and others, serving at the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), Alagbon, Lagos. IMO CIVIL SERVANTS JUBILATE AS GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA APPROVES 100% 13TH MONTH SALARY

For the third time in a series, His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma engaged in an interactive session with the Imo State Civil Servants today, at the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu's Square (RANKS) in appreciation of their dedication to duty and the productive output generated by their steadfastness to their responsibilities. Governor Hope Uzodimma expressed acknowledgement of the critical roles played by the civil service in the success of any Government and his commitment to the welfare of the civil servants at all times. His Excellency, went on to announce his approval of 100% 13th month salary to the civil servants effective this year and in the spirit of Christmas celebration, the Governor also approved the procurement and distribution of food items to every member of the civil service.
