A civil society organization has blamed the opposition PDP for the pockets of violence recorded in last Saturday”s bye election in Ngor Okpala of Imo state. It noted that its officers who monitored the bye election for Ngor Okpala state constituency observed that PDP stalwarts were found culpable of instigating violence in some wards in the local government. According to Engr Evaristus Ogbonnaya, leader of Civil society Organization for credible election, it was hypocritical for PDP to turn around and blame APC for the violence whereas its own agent precipitated it. Ogbonnaya who spoke in a press conference in Owerri accused PDP thugs of even kidnapping his own men who were duly accredited to monitor the polls. He cited Ward seven as an example where PDP thugs hijacked election materials and chased voters away. ” The thugs beat up a former Commissioner in the state from that ward, while field reports indicated that they inflicted heavy bodily harm on some voters”, he disclosed.   In drumming support for the Out-Of-School Children getting back into classes, the Honorable Minister of State Education, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba HCN has paid an inspection visit to the Federal Government Girls College, Potiskum in Yobe State.  The Minister who was on his way to Damaturu, capital of Yobe State, stopped over at the school to inspect the state of the facilities as well as to appraise the current enrolment rate of students in the face of security challenges bedeviling most states of North Eastern region of the North. He described as unfortunate that children will have to suffer, with the crises stifling their future.  Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba however encouraged parents and guardians to enrol their children in schools to help reduce the rate illiteracy in the country.
