  Imo State Government has condemned the early morning raising of the home of the President General of Ohanaeze  Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor by those it described as political bandits. In a statement he personally signed, the state GOVERNOR, Senator Hope Uzodinma regretted that desperate politicians who believe in violence were yet to sheath their swords inspite of repeated appeal to that effect. Uzodinma described the attack on the country home of Prof Obiozor as cowardly and height of desperation. He vowed that the government was already working in concert with security agencies to identify and punish the perpetrators. Wife of the out-gone governor of Anambra State, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano today 17th of March 2022 engaged in a fight with Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, the wife of late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.  Mrs Obiano who many said came set for a fight had approached Mrs Ojukwu at the front row of the event, where she was seated close to the out-gone governor, Chief Willie Obiano. Imo state  government has fulfilled its pledge to sponsor a  student from the state to any University of her choice after she recorded 9 As in last year's SSSCE examination. The girl, Miss Confidence Chinasa Nwaozuzu from Amuzari in Isiala Mbano LG of the state secured admission to study medicine in Georgia University,Eastern Europe. This past weekend,  Distinguished Senator Frank Ibezim (SFI) stopped by Amauzari where he met with leaders and other well meaning sons and daughters of the community to commensurate with the people of the region over their losses during the last rainy season.  Recall during the last rainy season following a devastating episode of flooding incident affecting Amauzari market, Senator Frank Ibezim  reached out to the leaders of  Amauzari community  and  immediately deployed his Constituency Technical Officers to liaise with identified flood victims to ascertain their immediate needs.
