EEDC LAMENTS THE SETTING ABLAZE OF ITS OGIDI OFFICE BY UNIDENTIFIED CRIMINAL ELEMENTS

Enugu electricity distribution company EEDC has lamented the destruction of it's Ogidi office by unidentified hoodlums masking under the pretence of freedom fighting.  In a press release made avaliable to newsmen through the Head of communicatios of the company Mr Emeka Ezeh says "In the early hours of today, Monday, 16th May, 2022, at about 1.45am, the Ogidi District of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) was set ablaze by unidentified criminal elements, leaving about 32 utility and operational vehicles all burnt, including other assets and equipment within the premises." The Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, relayed this development through a release issued today. COURT HALTS SHARING OF DERIVATION FUNDS TO OIL PRODUCING STATES

  A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the Accountant General of the Federation to immediately halt the distribution of more than One trillion naira due to oil producing states pending the determination of the suit  before it. The Court, presided over by Justice Ahmed Mohammad in an interim injunction held  that the distribution of the derivation funds without the indices of the Revenue, Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) was injurious to the applicant which is the Imo state government. The Imo state attorney general had in a suit No FHC/ABJ/CE/415/2022, against RMAFC and others challenged the distribution of the said funds without unambiguous indices by RMAFC as provided by, in Nigeria's Constitution. SOLUDO IN ABUJA, CALLS ON NDI ANAMBRA TO PARTNER WITH HIS GOVERNMENT IN REPOSITIONING THE STATE

Dame Irene Okwuosa memorial hospital facility officially commissioned in Oraifite.

Dame Irene Okwuosa memorial hospital, a world class medical facility was on the 12th of May 2022 officially opened to the general public by the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation (SEOF) with support from the Voom Foundation USA.  In the his welcome address, Sir Emeka Okwuosa said that the hospital was built to the glory of God and in memory of his late mother, Dame Irene Nneka Okwuosa, who as a teacher was loved by many because of her and care gor people around her when she was alive.
