Bosso Extends Invitation To Arsenal Youngster Ideho

  Flying Eagles coach, Ladan Bosso has invited Arsenal youngster, Joel Ideho, to camp for preparation ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup, in Argentina. Following his recovery from an ankle injury that kept him out for almost three weeks, the Arsenal U21 star was handed a recall to the national team. In preparation for the Premier League match against Southampton – the latter are interested in recruiting the 19 year-old – Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta moved Ideho to first team training on Wednesday, April 19. He trained with the Flying Eagles before the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations, but was cut from the team because his Nigerian passport had expired in 2018.

N4.2bn Electricity Consumers’ Debt Worries Aba Power Ltd

  The chairman of the Aba Power Ltd (APL), Prof. Barth Nnaji, has expressed concerns about future sustenance of the company’s operations given poor response of customers in bill settlement. Only less than six months after it commenced electricity distribution in the commercial city of Aba, in Abia State, poor response to debt payment is becoming a serious and insidious issue, such that, residents and commercial business operators are owing the firm about N4.2 billion for electricity supplied. The omnipresent attitude of inability to pay bills is now a major challenge to the APL which is the distribution arm of Geometric Power Ltd, an independent electricity generating company based at Aba, which establishment was meant to bring hope for reliable power supply to the town. Iwuanyanwu Emerged PG Through Doctrine Of Necessity- Ohaneze Ndigbo

The apex Igbo social-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has justified the emergence of elder statesman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu to succeed Professor George Obizor as president general of the Igbo body. The spokesman of Ohanaeze, Dr. Alex Ogbonnia explained that the body’s  leadership applied the doctrine of necessity in selecting Iwuanyanwu. He further disclosed that Iwuanyanwu will be presented to the highest decision making organ of Ohanaeze, Imeobi next Sunday.   The governor of Anambra state Prof Charles Soludo has appointed Mr Christian Chukwudozie Udechukwu former director of Diaspora and  Head,Media and Public Communications of the Transformation Ambassadors Of Nigeria(TAN),as the New Commissioner For Industry replacing Dr Obinna Ngonadi.  This appointment of Mr Chukwudozie Udechukwu sets a brand new tone in the economic renaissance of the industrial sector in Anambra State. Imo state government decry the killing of Dominion Chisom Ugochukwu, by an NSCDC officer

The Government of Imo State is saddened by the death on Monday, April 17th, of a 15 month old baby, Master Dominion Chisom Ugochukwu. Information reaching Government suggests that the baby who was strapped at the back of the mother was killed by a stray bullet allegedly fired by an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC). Government completely deplores the killing of such an innocent baby, the circumstances notwithstanding. Our heart  therefore  goes to the parents of the baby, especially the mother who alone understands the pains of such a tragic and monumental loss. IMO GOVERNMENT ENDORSES THE CHOICE OF IWUANYANWU AS PRESIDENT OF OHANEZE NDI IGBO

Imo Elders adopt charter of Equity for political offices

  Endorse Uzodimma for 2nd tenure In a historic move to engender peace and stability in Imo , the state"s Elders' Council has adopted a Charter of Equity for the rotation of key political offices among the three Senatorial zones. Notable among these offices are those of the governor, deputy governor and speaker of House of Assembly. ExxonMobil Declares Force Majeure On Crude Oil Lifting In Nigeria

American oil major, ExxonMobil has declared force majeure on oil lifting from several ports in Nigeria. This follows reported industrial action by the company’s in-house workers union, the company said, in a statement yesterday. This will however lead to another set back to the country which is a member of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), and had lost its status as Africa’s top oil producer last year when businesses such as Shell Plc and TotalEnergies began to reduce their investment due to extensive corruption and security concerns.
