Ohanaeze sets agenda for Mbah, Nwifuru, Otti

  The youths of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has asked the three new governors in the South-East not to disappoint the people who voted them into office.  The new governors are - Peter Mbah- Enugu, Francis Nwifuru- Ebonyi and Alex Otti-Abia. In a statement made available to journalists by the National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, he told the governors that it is time to face governance.  Okwu, who observed that the journey to victory for the three governors was not an easy route, said they must justify the confidence reposed on them.  He said, “We want to heartily congratulate the three brand new governors in the South-East. LOSS OF SUPPLY IN PARTS OF EEDC NETWORK DUE TO RAINSTORM

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) wishes to inform her esteemed customers across the South East that the loss of supply in some areas within its network is due to the rainstorm which occured yesterday evening and early hours of today. This resulted in faults, occassioned by fallen trees and high rate of broken High and Low Tension poles, causing supply disruption to our 11KV and 33KV feeders across the business districts.    Our various technical/maintenance teams have since commenced patrol of the network to evaluate the extent of damage and treat faults where they are minimal. We regret the inconveniences these have caused our esteemed customers and appeal for their patience and understanding while these challenges are addressed. EEDC remains committed to delivering improved services to her esteemed customers.

Newly sworn in Nigeria’s president, Bola Tinubu, on Monday, in Abuja, said he will extend the courtesy worthy of a fellow compatriot to his opponents in the February 25 election that brought him to power. He also argued that Nigeria had not had a better election than the recently concluded one in its history. “My victory does not render me more Nigerian than the rest of you. It also does not render my opponents less Nigerian than me. I will treat my opponents, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, as important compatriots,” Tinubu said in his inaugural address at Eagle Square, Abuja. About an hour earlier, the former Lagos Governor had taken the oath of office as the 16th President of Nigeria alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima.

  The winner of the March 18, 2023, governorship election in Katsina State, Dr Dikko Radda has been sworn in as Governor of the state. The inauguration took place today at the Muhammadu Dikko Township Stadium, Katsina. The 52-year-old governor defeated Senator Yakubu Danmarke of the Peoples Democratic Party, who had earlier threatened to file a suit to challenge the victory of Dikko.   Imo State Government yesterday debunked media reports that Gov Hope Uzodimma was part of the  plan of any group to support a Senate president other than the one chosen by the All Progressive Congress (APC).
