The Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has come hard on former minister, Rotimi Amaechi over his recent comment that his earlier claim of being Igbo was all politics.  Amaechi while speaking before a crowd of supporters at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign in Aba, Abia State in 2015, said: I am a bonafide Igbo man. “My name is Amaechi but President Jonathan, who says his name is Azikiwe, cannot speak the Igbo language." CP Orutugu Condemns Attack On Vigilante Operatives in Umunze, Calls for Community Support in Policing

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu FWC MNIPS PhD, has strongly condemned the brazen attack on vigilante operatives in Umunze Community, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of June 5, 2025, saw suspected armed men attack the vigilante's office, setting five operational vehicles ablaze and inflicting a fatal injury on one of the security operatives during a gun duel. FRSC Gears Up For Safe Sallah Celebrations in Anambra

As the Eid-El-Kabir celebration approaches, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Anambra State Sector Command is gearing up to ensure a safe and smooth journey for all road users. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Anambra State Sector Command has intensified its enforcement efforts to ensure compliance with road safety regulations in thr state. In a bid to reduce road traffic crashes, the Command has embarked on a crackdown of fake or non-existent number plates, speed limit devices, and vehicle overloading throughout the state. Police Makes Significant Breakthrough in Murder Case in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in a kidnap and murder case, where they recovered a locally made Beretta pistol, ammunition, and other incriminating items. Acting on credible information from an arrested suspect, Ebuka Orizu, a 26-year-old male currently in custody, police operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) recovered the items in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.
