Ihedioha, Irona Receives INEC Certificate of Return

His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, the Imo State Governor Elect, receiving His Certificate of Return, today 27th-03- 2019, at the State Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Owerri. His Excellency received His Certificate alongside his Deputy Governor Elect, Engr. Gerald A. Irona.

Breaking: Earnest Ebi, former CBN Deputy Gov. to head Ihedioha’s transition committee

Imo State Governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha is due to announce a transition committee to set agenda for his administration which begins on May 29, 2019. Nigerian Notch, authoritatively learnt from a very reliable inner source that a former Deputy Governor, Policy and Corporate Services at the Central Bank of Nigeria from 1999 to 2009, Mr. Ernest Ebi would lead the committee which may be announced later today. Mr. Ebi currently serves as an Independent Director at Coronation Capital Mauritius Limited as well as, Member of the Governing Board of Venture Garden Nigeria. He is a Non-Executive Director of Dangote Cement Plc since January 30, 2014, and had worked in various departments of International Merchant Bank in Lagos before he went to the CBN.

2019 elections: PDP scores self high

The Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) says it's performance in the just concluded general elections is outstanding. The Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu who was speaking with journalists said the performance is attributable to quality of leadership offered by Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu's led executive committee. He pointed out that PDP was always bedeviled by factions and divisional tendencies before any major election which according to him is not so under the watch of Chief Nwobu. Presidential Election: Tribunal orders service of Atiku’s petition on Buhari

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, ordered substituted service of the petition challenging the outcome of the February 23 presidential election, on President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari and Atiku The tribunal ordered that copies of all the legal processes should be served on Buhari through any senior officer at the national headquarters of his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abuja. The order followed an ex-parte application that was filed by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. A three-man panel of Justices of the Court of Appeal led by Justice Abdul Aboki, granted the ex-parte motion the petitioners moved through their lawyers, Mr. Chris Uche, SAN. Undergraduate found dead, pants, removed

An undergraduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, was on Friday found dead, and her eyes and underwear missing from her corpse found at the Commissioners’ Quarters behind the Anambra State Government House. A resident of the area, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said, “The corpse of the 300 level student of the university was dropped by the roadside around Commissioners’ Quarters by an unknown car.” The source gave the name of the student as Pauline.
