Governor Hope Uzodimma Intervenes in the Impasse between Igbos and Yorubas in Lagos State

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State and Chairman, South East Governors’ Forum has intervened in the ongoing impasse between the Igbo and Yoruba communities in Lagos State. During his recent visit to Lagos, where he attended the Nigeria Governors' Forum meeting and President Tinubu’s homecoming ceremony, Governor Uzodimma took the opportunity to meet with the Igbo business community in the state. In a display of empathy and understanding, Governor Uzodimma listened attentively as the Igbo business community expressed their concerns and frustrations. He recognized the adverse impact these issues have had on their businesses and residence in Lagos, as well as the prevailing security challenges faced by both communities. Ojoto Community Vigilante Chief, 2 others arrested for murder of Keke rider in Anambra

Police operatives from Ogidi Division, Anambra State have arrested the Ojoto community vigilante commander and two others for the kidnap and murder of a tricycle operator, Christian Oluchukwu Onah. Onah, a 25 year old tricycle rider from Ovoko community, Igbo-Eze South LGA, Enugu State but residing in Oba, Idemili South LGA, Anambra State was declared missing on 28th May, 2023 when he failed to return after going out for the day’s business of tricycle riding transportation. His neighbour in Oba had raised alarm over his whereabouts and subsequently reported to the police.   The owner of the tricycle the missing Christian rides under hire purchase agreement engaged the services of a security tracker that eventually yielded positive fruits leading to the arrest of a man in possession of the missing tricycle used by Christian. Insecurity: Hope Rises For Northern Businesses With New Service Chiefs

As the new service chiefs chart a new course on counter-terrorism in the fight against insurgency, banditry, kidnapping and other forms of criminality in Nigeria, hope appears to have risen for businesses in the Northern part of the country. The service chiefs and acting Inspector General  of Police (IGP) took over from their predecessors at the weekend, with a vow to take decisive counter measures against terror groups and oil thieves across the country. IGP Meets Police Squadron, Pledges Improved Security

As part of efforts to achieve internal security across the country, the acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun, will today be meeting with Mobile Police Squadron at the force headquarters, Abuja. Egbetokun, who reassured all citizens of Nigeria that the general security of lives and property in Nigeria will be improved in all ramifications, had pledged to return the Mobile Police Force to its past glory. The attention of Anambra State Government has been drawn to the existence of some phantom awards being promoted by some groups  or NGOs with a bogus caption as “ANAMBRA Awards”—- a caption that confuses or deceives the public.  The said “awards “ are scheduled to hold on 1st July, 2023 at the Stanel Event Centre, Awka.
