The Imo State Government has called for the arrest and questioning of one Ikenga Ugochinyere for claiming that Voter Registration in Omuma, the home Ward of Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State was inflated with fictitious names. The Imo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba made the call on Friday September 16, 2022 during a media conference that "ignoring the spurious and seditious outburst of Ugochinyere will amount to condoning criminality." He therefore called on the relevant security agencies to "immediately arrest the said Ugochinyere to find out from him how he obtained the voters register he has been parading before the public even when the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC is still at the stage of Automated Biometric Verification of Systems, which must be concluded before an official voters register can be released to the public." The Commissioner said that "INEC has issued an official statement on the above

Insecurity in Anambra: Journalists condemn attack on Senator Ubah.

~ commiserate with families of the bereaved.  The National Link Chapel of the Anambra state council of Nigerian Union of Journalists(NUJ) has condemned the recent assassination attempt on the person of Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah over the weekend. They expressed dissatisfaction over the insecurity situation in the state, describing it as an unfortunate situation in the state.  In a communique after their monthly meeting held at the chapel head office, in Nnewi. Mr.  Tempest Udeze who is the chairman of the Chapel made public the resolution to the members of the chapel and held a moment of silence for those that lost their lives in the attack. He stated that," sunday's attack on Senator Ubah is unacceptable and it's the responsibility of every government to protect  lives and property of the common masses. Anything short of that is unacceptable to the society". He commend the efforts of Governor Prof Charles Soludo in the area of security in the state and blamed th

Senator Ubah appreciates heart felt condolences from well meaning Nigerians.

While we deeply appreciate the President and  Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Buhari , the National Security Adviser Gen Monguno , the Inspector General Of Police, the State Governor, and the heads of the other security agencies as well as others too numerous to mention who all reached out to commiserate with the Senator over this unfortunate incident.  We still insist that getting to the root of this assasination attempt will go a long way in assuaging the badly traumatised feelings of the numerous lovers , followers and well wishers of the Distinguish Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District  and Leader of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.  They must understand that this particular assasination attempt must never go unravelled and the perpetrators MUST be brought to book . Attached is the condolence from Imo state government. This obviously heavily funded heinous crime carried out against the Senator  despi

Imo infrastructural revolution: Other governors will be afraid to invite me - President Buhari

By Jennifer John  President Muhammadu Buhari has heaped plaudits on Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for his tenacity and prudent management of scarce resources which enabled him to record overwhelming achievements within a short period of time in office. President Buhari made this assertion in his address at the Banquet hall of Imo State Government House, Owerri, after commissioning; the Owerri-Orlu Road, Owerri-Okigwe Road (Phase 1), and the renovated Imo House of Assembly Complex, which he said was three out of the fifty projects  presented to him for commissioning by  Governor Uzodimma. He said with such intimidating achievements and judging by the fact that he has been to the state two times within one year to commission projects, other state governors may be afraid to invite him. "Having known that I have been here twice and considering my honest comment on what I saw, not what I heard, maybe they are not prepared to invite me and I don't mind not being invited. He

The Beauty Of Walking With God .

The Senator started his speech at the Anglican synod event in Ozubulu (his last event for the day before the assasination attempt ) , with the following song.  Obi m dele du gi atuna ujo  Obi m dele duu, Chukwu malu ife oma oga emele mu,  obi m dele duu.  (My heart be at rest and do not be afraid for God knows the goods things he has in stock for me ). In all that you do , pls learn to read spiritual messages and get interpretations where necessary.  In retrospect, one can now clearly see that God made clear attempts to warn us  that harm is being plotted for his special son and sent emissaries to not just forewarn about it but to also nip it in the bud . In the attached screenshot,  a member of Ubahnation family by name Ugonwa Miracle Francisca Ugwonwa  reached out to me on the 3rd of September (the Senator's birthday date) and warned me clearly about a plot on the life of Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah. She asked that I inform the Senator to be careful.I thanked her and I didn&#

In three different events at the three senatorial zones of Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu, President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned three different projects built by the 3R Government of Governor Hope Uzodimma vis-a-vis: the New Imo State House of Assembly Complex, the Owerri-Okigwe and the Owerri-Orlu Federal roads. Mr President who came on a working visit to Imo State, was received by a mammoth crowd from Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Ngor Okpala to the capital city of Owerri. From where the President commissioned the Imo State House of Assembly Complex Owerri; the Owerri-Okigwe road (phase one) at Amaraku and the Owerri-Orlu road at banana junction, Orlu. While commissioning the projects, President Muhammadu Buhari commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his visionary leadership and infrastructural development across the State. Mr President noted that this was his second time in Imo State within a year and both were for project commissioning.  He therefore called on Ndi Imo, to c

President Muhammadu Buhari has today, 13th September, 2022 inaugurated for use, the 37km Owerri to Orlu dual carriage way in Imo State amidst tight security. The Owerri-Orlu road was in terrible shape before Hope Uzodinma was sworn in as Governor of Imo State on January 14, 2020. He awarded the contract for the reconstruction and dualization of the road to Craneburg – a world class construction company that has today, delivered a solid road project and the first of its kind in Imo since 1999. Owerri-Orlu road is a very important economic road that cuts across 6 Local Government Areas of the State and the resolve of the Uzodimma-led administration to give it a lasting facelift alongside Owerri-Okigwe road, is a very strategic one, given that it connects two major economic towns of the State aimed to foster trade and movement of agricultural produce from the hinterlands to urban centers. The joy of Imo people knows no bounds as to the current state of the road, its drains, markings and l

Invitation to the Funeral Rites of Late Chief Thomas Nwonye aka Ifechifotalu-Anaedo Western Germany

The life and times of Late Chief Thomas Nwonye (Ifechifotalu- Anaedo Western Germany) is a testimony of a life well spent. Late Chief Thomas Nwonye was born in 1927, he however slept in the Lord on the 7th of April 2022.  Beyond the oratorical tributes of his obsequies, the greatest tribute to the memory of our beloved Chief Thomas Nwonye will be for the Anaedo clan and his family to continue upholding the tenets of which he was known for, which is his humility and obligation to family, community and the Anaedo clan, guided by the culture of African morality.  With the outpouring of love and appreciation for a well spent life, at 95, Late Chief Thomas Nwonye's after life indicates a similitude between him and the patron saints of the religious orders. As we count down to his funeral rites which will take place on the 30th of September 2022, we call on well meaning Nigerians, especially from Anambra and Anaedo clan in particular, to in retrospect accord honour to whom honour is d

All is now set for the official visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Imo State, for the second time within a year. His visits, both the first and the second, all centered on commissioning of completed projects by the 3R Government of His Excellency, the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.  Top on the list, is the commissioning of Owerri-Orlu road. A 36KM Federal road constructed by 3R Government to ameliorate the hardship its age-long deplorable status had caused on the residents and road users over the years. The road which transverse through six different Local Government Areas of Owerri Municipal, Owerri North, Mbaitoli, Njaba, Isu and Orlu, was built with dual carriage, drainage system on both sides and solar-powered illumination all through.  The contractor, Craneburg Construction Company, applied best of engineering designs on the project which now translate to the beauty complemented by all. The solid construction at the Njaba Bridge and other sections of the road, has restor

The APC in Imo state has described the recent careless press statement from the PDP as unfortunate. In a press release made available to the press, the state publicity secretary of the APC in Imo state, Hon  Cajetan Duke stated that "The attention of the Hon. Macdonald Ebere, PhD led- All Progressives Congress, APC, Imo State has been drawn to another careless, irresponsible and utterly mischievous press statement credited to the tactless opposition PDP against the person of Imo East senatorial candidate, Prince Dr Alex Mbata." He stressed that its September 10, 2022, press release has really exposed the current fear and desperation of the Engr. Ugwu- led Ihedioha's faction of the opposition party in Imo State, the PDP.  In the apparently irrelevant release,  he said that the PDP, obviously more confused now than ever before, like  a headless dying fowl - making its last meaningless and uncoordinated move, demanded for the arrest and prosecution of Prince Alex Mbata (PAM)

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on Sunday welcomed and praised the Church for their sacred duty of serving as a moral compass for the nation by their prayers and efforts in the promotion of peace and unity. Governor Uzodimma made the remark at the Dioceses of Orlu for the Holy Mass to mark the 2nd plenary meeting of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria where he encouraged the leadership of the Church to maintain a moral high ground to preach on effective and honest leadership for the temporal authority. The Governor called for the use of more edifying words and comments in the Church especially by the Spiritual Leaders to promote the peace and unity of the Nation than comments that seem to highlight and promote our differences. He pleaded to His Graces and Lordships to look into the church's neutrality on political matters and, thereafter, caution the priests not to dabble into partisan politics. Above all, they should also desist from fanning the embers of disunity in

In recognition of the remarkable improvement in power supply within the South-East Geo-political zone, traders under the aegis of South-East Amalgamated Market Traders Association (SEAMATA) have commended the management of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC), passing a vote of confidence on the company. The commendation was conveyed in a letter addressed to the Chairman, Board of Directors, EEDC, Sir (Dr.) Emeka Offor, co-signed on behalf of SEAMATA, by its President General, Chief Gozie Akudolu and Secretary General, Alex Okwudili.
