Ifeanyi Ubah's Model & his Defection to APC, a time for conscious awakening

By Chigozie Igbo Jr It's over a month now since the defection of Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah from the YPP to the APC, and the ripples of his joining the party at the center is still trending not just in Anambra but all over the country. This is a pointer to the fact that having him in the APC comes with it's benefits because of what he stands for. The Ifeanyi Ubah brand has continued to stand firm even in the face of uncertainties, as he has surprised many in the past by the feats he has achieved. These feats are basically for the overall well-being of his people.  Ifeanyi Ubah no doubt is coming to the APC to replicate what he is known for, which is changing narratives positively. This he did with an unknown party the YPP, and is set to do same in his new party the APC. However since his defection to the APC many have in a blanket philosophy, condemned him, in-toto, for joining a party they term evil, a party they say is for a particular tribe because of theIr

Ifeanyi Ubah's Move to APC: A Step Towards Inclusive Governance for the Igbo People

By Barr. Ugo Ilechukwu Since the end of the civil war, the Igbos have faced marginalization in the centre of government, especially following the civilian administration's takeover in 1999. Despite their unwavering support for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), the Igbos received little in return for their loyalty. This perceived exclusion from governance has left the Igbos yearning for a chance to be actively involved in shaping Nigeria's future. In this regard, Ifeanyi Ubah's entrance into the All Progressives Congress (APC) signifies a potential opportunity to achieve this desired inclusion and bring good governance to our state, Anambra. The Marginalization of the Igbos: It is undeniable that the Igbos have been systematically marginalized in Nigerian politics. Since the civilian government came into power in 1999, the PDP, which the Igbos strongly supported, failed to prioritize the inclusion and representation of Igbo interests at the national level.
