EEDC TAKES MOBILE MAP METERING TO CUSTOMERS IN ANAMBRA STATE

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) has kicked off its operation for the year 2023 on a positive note as it takes mobile MAP metering to its customers in Anambra State, ensuring that they are able to access prepaid meters within 48 hours. The exercise, which allows customers to pay and get metered, and reimbursed with the value of the cost of meter through energy over a period, is a conscious way the company has adopted to close the existing metering gap in its network. It is designed to be implemented according to Feeders, with 3 different locations selected within the areas covered by the Feeder, where metering will be going on simultaneously. Customers within these areas will be pre-notified of when the exercise will be carried out within their neighborhood. Oil producing State: Ohanaeze hails Ugwuanyi's resilience

Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has hailed Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State over the listing of Enugu as an oil producing State.  It could be recalled that following the outcome of a meeting late last year by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) in Abuja, it ratified the request of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration for Enugu to join other States in enjoying oil producing status. Governor Ugwuanyi had told a delegation of the University of Nigeria, Alumni Association (UNAA), Nsukka Branch during a solidarity visit at the Government House, that: “As I am leaving office, I am happy that the money that will be coming to Enugu won’t be what I witnessed.
