Group has raised over N100m to purchase the nomination and expression of interest forms - Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba

Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba the Honorable Minister of state Education, has informed newsmen that over 1,000 individuals have raised over 100 million and would purchase the APC presidential expression of interest and nomination forms for him.  Nwajiuba, who spoke in a telephone interview with Sunday PUNCH, stated that he had been informed by the group that about 1,000 individuals had contributed a little over N100m and would purchase the APC presidential forms for him. The minister, who expressed excitement that the group was able to raise the amount, said the decision on whether he would run for the coveted office would depend on the outcome of his meeting with the Project Nigeria Group and other stakeholders across the country. GROUP CONDEMNS SPATE OF INSECURITY IN IMO AND THE CRIMINAL SILENCE BY POLITICIANS

Nwajiuba represents Buhari at Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu son's wedding.

The Honorable Minister of state Education, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba today in Owerri represented President Muhammadu Buhari at the wedding ceremony of  Chief Iwuanyanwu's son. The wedding ceremony also had in attendence the executive governor of Imo State H.E Senator Hope Uzodinma.  Speaking after the wedding ceremony, the Honorable Minister, thanked Nigerians for the support they have given the Muhammadu Buhari's regime and also used the occasion to wish Christians a happy Easter Holidays.  He stressed that Chief Iwuanyanwu as an elder statesman deserves all the respect and urged the  newly married couple to always tow the footsteps of perseverance in their relationship as that is the only key to a successful marriage. IMO: JOINT SECURITY TASK FORCE DEMOBILIZE IPOB/ESN GANG LEADER AND 25 OTHERS

The Joint security task force comprising of the police and military personnel has killed a notorious gang leader of the IPOB/ESN militia known as “Evil forest” during a gun duel that ensued yesterday at Orlu. The gang leader “Evil forest” who hails from Amadim in Amaifeke, Orlu and his gang were notorious for attacking security operatives in Orlu while his men ambushed the Army checkpoint at Afo Ogidi junction. It was gathered that yesterday, the security operatives got an intelligence report over an imminent attack by the IPOB/ESN militia gang operating with 5 vehicles as they tried to infiltrate a security post at Orlu and was repelled by the quick intervention of the security personnel. According to our sources, it was disclosed that a gun duel took place between the IPOB/ESN militia gang and the joint security task force which led to the killing of “Evil forest” and 25 members of his gang while others sustained life threatening injuries. AMB CHARLES NWONYE ATTENDS HON ERNEST N.OBIORA'S 46TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND 80TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION.

  The big celebration started with a High Mass lead by His Lordship Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye at St Vincent De Paul parish Uruagu Nnewi, in the mass were some dignitaries, amongst who were Dr Cletus Ibeto, His Royal Highness Igwe Kenneth Orizu ( Igwe Nnewi), Obi Uruagu his Highness Obi Charles Afamefuna Obi, Obi Nnewichi his Highness Obi George Onyekaba, Hon Chris Azubuogu, and among others. After the mass, the reception which was at Munic Classic Hotel where all dignitaries were entertained, Amb Charles Nwonye stayed briefly and left to visit and consult with the Umuada Anaedo Forum women at Obi Okpunoegbu to present his political ambition to the women.
