Plans To Cause Discord Between Nnamdi Kanu And Prof. Obiozor ill-fated – Ohanaeze

Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC), the apex youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has tagged the obvious ploy to cause disaffection between Prof Obizor and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as ill-fated. The group has therefore observed with keen interest the malicious blackmail against the noble leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by Amb. Prof. George Obiozor. In a Press release made avaliable to Nigerian Notch, reads thus "The content of the cheap blackmail in the first and second paragraph stated thus, “I am the President General of Ohanaeze ndi Igbo not Nnamdi Kanu. Nobody gave him the veto power to decide for the Igbos. Whatsoever he was doing at his Radio Biafra is solely for him and has no link with the entire Igbo community”. “I could remember how many times we called him to order, yet he refused to heed to our calls, now he’s about to face what is bigger than him” Continuing the group said that "In the foregoing, Ohanaeze Youth Council wish to inform the general public, Igbo y

Ifeanyi Ubah, Umeoji others make INEC list as Professor Charles visibly absent.

EEDC TAKES ELECTRICAL SAFETY AWARENESS TO SCHOOLS

As part of its efforts towards entrenching the right knowledge and orientation in its public, the Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC) has embarked on massive stakeholder education/sensitization campaign to schools within its franchise area. The campaign is aimed at orientating school children who are seen as the “leaders of tomorrow” at the early stage of their lives on electrical safety and electricity distribution operations. The Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, made this known after the team from EEDC visited Lady Ibiam Girls Secondary School, Enugu, to engage the students earlier today (Thursday). According to him, these children are witnesses to illegal activities going on within their environment, and are already growing up, seeing these illegalities as normal. “As a result of this, our organization decided to adopt the approach of “training up a child in the way he/she should go, so that when he/she grows, he/she will never depart from it”.

FENRAD Task Military High Command To Call it's Personnel In the South East to Order.

Foundation for Environmental Rights Advocacy and Development, FENRAD, a human and environmental rights group is calling on the Military High Command to ensure that it's personnel drafted to the South East are called to order. This was contained in a statement made available to Nigerian Notch by the organization, through it's leader  Comrade Nelson Nnanna Nwafor, reads in part "the unlawful 'detention' of some customers at Shoprite, Umuahia following a claim of vandalism and robbery by some men and/or officers of the Nigeria Army who had also gone to the grocery and household retail outlet for shopping as those who only became their victims is unacceptable." According to sources and clips obtained online publications, the group said that, " the friction climaxed when upon returning to the car from the mall the military personnel raised an alarm to the effect that their car had been vandalised and their cash stolen. The tension was heightened further when t

ANOTHER 53 HECTARES OF LAND ILLEGALLY ACQUIRED BY OKOROCHA, RECOVERED BY IMO STATE GOVERNMENT

The 3R government of Imo State is not leaving any stone unturned in the recovery program of the administration.  The gazetted white paper report from the judiciary commission of inquiry on land matters seems to be inexhaustible with list of public properties illegally acquired by the Rochas Okorocha administration and associates. Following a court order, the Imo State government recovered 53 hectares of land from Orji in Owerri North LGA of Imo State which were illegally acquired by former Governor Rochas Okorocha. This is in addition to the over 40 hectares of lands recovered from him. The government of Imo State would not be emotionally blackmailed into abandoning the mandate of Imolites which includes but not limited to the recovery of all public and private properties illegally acquired by anyone. While it is the right of anyone to acquire lands whenever the state advertises for such, it remains the prerogative of the law to dictate the procedure and process for such acquisitions.

RE: ROCHAS OKOROCHA IS NOT AT LOSS AND WONT BE AT LOSS WITH UZODIMMA'S SACKING OF ROCHAS FOUNDATION COLLEGE FROM IMO STATE.

...proceeds of illegality remains illegal and cannot be converted for charity. Going through the write-up referenced above and credited to media team of former Governor Rochas Okorocha, as conflicting in facts and ignoramus in analysis, it became pertinent that a proper perspective be made available for the interest of the general public, and in schooling the author and his compatriots. Conflict of interest is a very simple phenomenon and doesn't require advanced tutoring to understand and as such feigned ignorance over it amounts to shear wickedness and purposeful deceit to the audience. This is a pinch, on the ignorance to the fact that one cannot approbate and reprobate at the same time. No doubt, the Rochas Foundation is a non governmental organization owned by Rochas Okorocha and operates on charity as claimed in the content. However, you do not give out what doesn't belong to you in the name of charity and no amount of sentimental / emotional blackmail would justify the f

RECOVERY OF OLD IBC PREMISES: APC COMMENDS UZODIMMA

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Imo State chapter has received with delight and great satisfaction the news of the recovery of old Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) premises, Orji, in Owerri North LGA, by Imo State Government of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma. This was contained in a press statement issued by APC through the Director General  of it's Media Center, Cajethan Duke.  Recall that the IBC premises officially designated by Imo State Government to house officials of the corporation was fraudulently converted into personal use by former governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha in favour of his immediate family and close political associates during his reign in office. The statement further stated that the provocative and reckless conversion of public assets into private use, which was the hallmark of Okorocha's administration, remains one anomaly every right thinking Imolite has remained hopeful that any responsible administration will address with ever

EXPOSED: UBA BROTHERS IN DESPERATE BID TO REVOKE COURT ADJOURNMENT

Classified information filtering out of Anambra High Court indicates that Sen. Ugochukwu Uba since last night, the 12th of July, 2021, following the adjournment of his controversial suit by Hon. Justice Obiorah Nwabunike to September 14th, 2021, has been mounting pressure on High Court Judges in the State to prevail on him to rescind his decision. It would be recalled that on the 5th of July 2021, Hon. Justice Obiorah Nwabunike had in his ruling on an ex parte motion brought before him by Sen. Ugochuckwu Uba, restrained the Peoples Democratic Party from presenting, receiving, parading or accepting Valentine Ozigbo as the authentic Governorship Candidate for Anambra State.  The ruling which by the effect of Order 40, Rule 3(3) of the High Court of Anambra Civil Procedure Rules 2019, had a lifespan of 7 days, suffered judicial fatality on the 12th of July 2021, with Justice Obiorah declining an application by Uba to renew the said order. In declining the application, the Cour

Group Asks Maduka to contest Anambra governorship election

An Igbo sociocultural group, Ndigbo United People's Assembly, NUPA, has called on former governorship aspirant of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, for the November 6 election in Anambra, Dr. Godwin Maduka, to get a suitable political party to contest for the forthcoming governorship election in the state.  In a chat with newsmen today in Awka, after rising from a strategic meeting of the group,  the National Leader, Prince Bartho Igwedibia, said the group wants Maduka to run because of his good track records, especially the great development he has brought to his community, Umuchukwu, in Orumba South LGA, he stressed that Maduka would replicate same in Anambra, if elected governor. "Our choice of Godwin Maduka was because of his track records. One, Maduka is qualified academically to lead Anambra as governor. Secondly, he singlehandedly turned his community into a city of sort. He singlehandedly built court complex and quarters for judges, police station, world research

Uzodimma recovers IBC Properties covering over 48 Hectares.

Imo state government has recovered properties of Imo broadcasting corporation (IBC) covering over 48 Hectares of land which was forceful taken over by the Rochas Okorocha administration during his tenure in office as the executive govenor of Imo state.  The properties recovered, which situate at Orji in Owerri North North Local Goverment area covering a total of 48 hectare of land, is currently being developed by aides of the former Governor Rochas Okorocha, which he gifted to his son in-law, Uche Nwosu and other aides. The recovery is in line with the white paper recommendations of the Committee set up to look in allegations of mismanagement in the  Goverment of the former governor. This is in keeping with the promise of Governor Hope Uzodimma to recover the commonwealth of Ndi Imo, and as well share prosperity to Ndị Imo, which is the essence of good governance, his goverment is anchored on.

IMO APC OFFLOADS ROCHAS OKOROCHA

Several indications so far has shown that any moment from now, the Senator representing Imo West and the former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha will be pitching his tent with the People’s Democratic Party, PDP. This is coming after so many attempts by Okorocha to disintegrate the APC over his selfish and inordinate quest for more power. Okorocha since his failed attempt to foist his son in-law on the party and Imolites in the last general election resulted to activities that can be likened to anti-party which is punishable within the purview of the APC rules and regulations. Back to his state, Imo State, Okorocha was hell bent on hijacking the party structure of which he claims to be the party leader as against the incumbent Governor who has on several occasions extended the olive branch to him. It is now obvious that the banana peels which Okorocha littered in the APC is beginning to drag his legs to the mud as every attempt by him to dislodge the state Governor, Se

UGOCHUKWU UBA LOSES AS AWKA COURT VACATES ORDER AGAINST OZIGBO

.......SAYS VALENTINE OZIGBO REMAINS RECOGNISED PDP CANDIDATE BY LAW A High Court sitting in Awka has declined to renew an order it granted embattled litigant Senator Ugochukwu Uba on the 5th of July, 2021 seeking the non-recognition of Mr Valentine Ozigbo as the authentic candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State. The said order, initially granted by Justice Obiora A. Nwabunike, going by Order 40, Rule 3(3) of the High Court Civil Procedure Rules could only subsist for 7 days after which the Court may choose to renew it or it stands abated as a result. Going by the proceedings of today, Monday, July 12, 2021 and the Court's refusal to renew the said order, it stands abated and vacated. Thus, the order which restrained “the Peoples Democratic Party from presenting, receiving, parading or accepting Valentine Ozigbo as the authentic Governorship Candidate for Anambra State” stands vacated. The significance of the Court’s refusal to grant a renewal of the said o

OPPOSITION PARTIES COLLAPSE FOR UZODIMMA IN A BID TO MAKE IMO A MODEL STATE IN THE SOUTH-EAST

While His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Governor of Imo State has continued to bring good governance and upgrade of Imo state to an enviable height amongst the states in the South-East zone, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Action Alliance (AA) party counterparts have concluded serious plans to decamp fully in their numbers to APC to give support to the sincerity, simplicity and solidity in the administration of GOVERNOR Uzodinma. This came as a wake-up call while briefing Newsmen on Sunday afternoon in an undisclosed hotel in Owerri, the capital city of Imo state Nigeria. Recall that groups of Politicians and people of different political linings across the three zones of Imo state have continued to identify with GOVERNOR Hope Uzodinma while stating that his all-inclusive leadership pattern will surpass the previous administrations of both former Governors Rochas Okorocha and that of the few months leadership of

Anambra Guber: Spent Forces destabilizing PDP –Obi, Anenih

Ahead of the Anambra State governorship election coming up November 6, 2021, former Minister for Women Affairs, Mrs Josephine Anenih, has called on the party to sanction characters parading parallel candidate for the governorship election. Describing them as sworn enemies of the party, Anenih insisted that these characters, whose stock in trade is to merchandize the party in every election season, were paid by desperate politicians to carry court orders in their pockets wherever they go, in order to ensure that the party do not go into elections as a united family. In a chat with newsmen at the weekend in Awka, Anenih, who is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said, “For the past 16 years, PDP has been out of power in Anambra State. At every election circle, this same character will have parallel congress. That is their stock in trade. As we’re talking about reconciling with people who are not happy in the party, there is no way the

Nnamdi Kanu not Nigeria's Major Problem–Ebube Muonso

The Spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Obimma Emmanuel, aka Ebube Muonso, has said that Nnamdi Kanu is not the problem of Nigeria. He said the arrest and repatriation of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is a big distraction and deviation from the major issues facing the country and its people. Speaking at his adoration arena over the weekend, Ebube Muonso, who is also the Rector, Blessed Iwene Tansi Pilgrimage Center, and Parish Priest of the Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish, Umudioka, all in Anambra State, insisted that Nigeria’s problems is hydra-headed, and therefore, must be tackled the way they are.  “The arrest and repatriation of the IPOB leader is a kind of leaving the substance and pursuing the shadow. Instead of exerting energy in pursuing IPOB members, who are merely seeking self-determination, the federal government could have employed experts that would tackle insecurity. They should also engage e

US heatwave: Wildfires rage in western states as temperatures soar

Wildfires are raging in the west of the United States as the region is hit by a heatwave that has brought record temperatures to several areas. Communities have been told to evacuate as firefighters struggle to battle the blazes in the extreme conditions. Two firefighters in Arizona died when their aircraft crashed while responding to a wildfire. Meanwhile, Las Vegas matched its all-time temperature high of 47.2C (117F) on Saturday. However, a study by climate researchers said the heat that scorched western Canada and the US at the end of Ju
