Awka-Etiti Community elects new PG

Awka- Etiti Community on the 25th of November 2017 made history by conducting a peaceful election, which saw to the emergence of a newly elected executive which will run the affairs of the town union for another tenure of 3 years. The election which was keenly contested, with the use of option A4 saw the emergence of Chief Joachin Okeke, as the newly elected President General of Awka-Etiti Community. In his interaction with newsmen, the newly elected President General, Chief Joachin Okeke thanked the people of Awka Etiti for finding him worthy to be elected as their  new President General. He called on those that vied for the position with him to close ranks to work for the overall benefit and development of Awkaetiti community. Prince Obi Orizu Foudation Hands Over Hostels & Dining Hall to Nigerian Science & Technical College Nnewi

The Crown Prince of Nnewi dynasty, Prince Obi Orizu, has donated hostels and a cafeteria to Nigerian Science & Technical college Nnewi, through his foundation Prince Obi Orizu Foundation, as part of his contributions to charity and community development, with assistance from Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and friends. In his keynote address at the occasion, Prince Obi Orizu, said that the welfare of the younger generation is  uttermost to him, considering the privilege they enjoyed while going to school. He said that the environment at which most of the students in this era study is terrible and promised to do something in that direction to ensure that they had a new lease of life. EDITORIAL: ANAMBRA 2018 BUDGET: ROADMAP TO ECONOMIC BOOM

After careful analysis of the 2018 budget as presented to Anambra state house of Assembly, by the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, we make bold to state that the budget if implemented will go a long way in further growing the economy of the state.   In line with the government’s promise to build a greater tomorrow, with the title of “the Budget for Value-for-Money, Economic Diversification and Job Creation”. Obiano Warns Cabinet Of Corruption

His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano has promised to usher in a new order in his second term in office. He said this in a meeting he held with members of his cabinet in Awka. Chief Obiano handed down this stern warning to members of his cabinet, during an exco meeting in Awka last week. The Governor said that any Commissioner, Special Adviser or civil servant found culpable for any act of fraud or corruption in Anambra State will automatically be dismissed from the work force. The Governor warned that with his re- election for a second term, governance would not be as usual. He said that there must be a sense of commitment and seriousness in all public servants in the state who want to be part of the new revolution that will be introduced in the state to serve the people of the state better.
