Sir Emeka Offor Foundation Distributes Medicine/Medical Supplies to Medical Institutions in Nigeria

A total of 21 health institution across the six geopolitical zones on Thursday benefitted from Sir Emeka Offor Foundation 2021 National distribution of medicine/medical supplies at Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra state. During the presentation, the Coordinator of the foundation, Sir Tony Obi said the equipment, worth approximately N1bn was distributed based on judicious use of the items by the beneficiaries after close monitoring. He said, "Since our 18 years existence, Emeka Offor foundation, has focused on education, health and empowerment. Today is the second time we're distributing drugs to 21 selected health institutions within the six geopolitical zones. "It has become an annual event. We're not biased, we sampled opinion of people around where the institutions were located, before distribution. We have ways of monitoring the usage and those who were judicious and didn't monitized theirs were on advantage for another round.  O

THREE ARRAIGNED, FIVE ARRESTED FOR VANDALIZING EEDC PROPERTY.

Three suspected vandals were recently arraigned at the Federal High Court of Enugu State of Nigeria in the Enugu Judicial Division Holden at Enugu for their involvement in vandalizing high tension cables and insulators belonging to the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC), along Enugu-Port Harcourt Express way. The suspects identified as, Njoku Onyeka, Anayochi Onuigbo and Sunday Ude, were slammed with a four count charge of conspiracy to commit felony, unlawful damage and removal of about four rolls of high tension wires, unlawful removal of three insulators from electricity poles and unlawful meddling with about four rolls of electricity high tension cables and insulators. Court refuses to grant Okorocha order to stop EFCC, Imo State from further properties confiscation

Justice Ahmed Ramat Mohammed of the Federal high court in Abuja on Wednesday refused to grant order of interim injunction sought by former Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha against the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFFCC and Imo State government to stop them  from further interfering and confiscating his properties located in various parts of the country.  The Judge held that granting the order during various challenges to the court jurisdiction in the matter will not been in the interest of justice.  Okorocha on Wednesday in Abuja had asked high court to issue a  restraining order against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFFCC and Imo State government from further interfering and confiscating his properties located in various parts of the country.  Okorocha currently representing Imo West  Senatorial district in the Senate sought the order of the Court to preserve his properties pending the resolution of court cases on-going in the matter. The Honorable Minister of State for Education, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba today in Jalingo, capital of Taraba State formally launched the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA).  The Honorable Minister reiterated the commitment of the Buhari led administration to ensure that every child has access to education in Nigeria. MORE TROUBLE FOR ROCHAS AS COURT ORDERS FINAL FORFEITURE OF ALL PROPERTIES GAZETTED IN IMO STATE WHITE PAPER

Justice Fred Njemanze of an Owerri High Court sitting as a vacation Judge, has order the final and absolutely forfeiture of royal palm springs and all properties contained in pages 226 to 272 of the Imo state Government white paper on recovery of lands and properties belonging to Imo state.  In his ruling the judge held that Senator Rochas failed to give concrete and verifiable reasons why a final and absolute forfeiture order should not be given in favour of Imo state. Recall that Senator Rochas Okorocha filed a preliminary injunction to stop the final forfeiture citing forceful eviction and that the suit by the Imo state Government was not properly Instituted. However Justice Njemanze held that the suit filed by Imo state Government was not only properly filled but was also a suplousage, as the white paper gazzette by the Imo state Government is a legal binding document. His Majesty Igwe Dr Robert C Eze (  Okofia Vi) has attended the 2021 Provincial ACM Conference held at St. Mary's Parish Ukpo. ACM is Anglican Children Ministry. His Majesty represented by  Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze, the principal secretary to the Traditonal Ruler commended the children organization for the event. The Honorable Minister of State for Education, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba in continuation of his Visit to Taraba, today visited the Federal Government Girls College and the Federal Science and Technical College, both in Jalingo, capital of Taraba State. The Honorable Minister who was on a working visit to the state, took off to the schools immediately after church service in the State capital. The Honorable Minister expressed delight at the cleanliness of the FGGC Jalingo, while urging the staff, management and students of the school not to rest on their oars, as they can't afford to trifle with the future of the country, vested in the youths, students of the school. He also visited the new permanent site of the FSTC Jalingo, he expressed his disappointment at the level of work done at the site. He immediately directed all staff of the school to move to the permanent site, while contractors have been warned to hastened and finish up work or face the full wrath of the law.
