ANAMBRA GOVT TO PARTNER WHO ON STRATEGIC AREAS IN HEALTH SECTOR

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR has expressed readiness of the state government to partner the World Health Organization, WHO in providing quality and affordable healthcare to Ndi Anambra. The Governor made the disclosure when he received in audience, the WHO representative in Nigeria, Dr. Walter Mulombo who embarked on the visit with members of his team at the Governor's Lodge in Amawbia  According to Professor Soludo, his administration is committed to having a healthy and productive population, pointing out that WHO has a pivotal role to play in that regard. GOV. UZODIMMA CALLS FOR RESTORATION OF CONFIDENCE IN THE PROCESS OF LAND ALLOCATION IN THE STATE

Governor Hope Uzodimma has called for the restoration of confidence in the process of land allocation in the State. The Governor made this call today during the inauguration of 11-man Committee members of Imo Land Use Allocation at the Government House Exco Chamber, Owerri. "Given our recent unsavoury history where one family took advantage of their position of authority and attempted to appropriate most of the choice properties in the state, this Committee must endeavour to restore confidence in the process of land allocation in Imo State", Uzodimma stated. Imo Vigilante not responsible for Okporo killings- Imo Govt

Imo State Government has declared that the state controlled vigilante was not responsible for the recent killing of three family members in Okporo, Orlu local government area. The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba in a statement in Owerri deplored the allegation making the rounds that the vigilante carried out the killing. He said it was ironical that the vigilante being accused of the killing actually took the wounded to the hospital when they were informed of the attack. He described as unfortunate and provocative the haste with which enemies of the state government rush to the press to level accusations against it to score cheap political points. According to him, while it is only the police that can make a  definite pronouncement on the perpetrators of the crime at the conclusion of exhaustive investigation, the imo vigilante was not responsible at all.
