INSECURITY IN IMO - WHEN HYPOCRISY, SELF DECEIT AND IMCOMEPETENCE COME FULL CIRCLE

By Dr Uche Diala It has because extremely hard to engage these days because of the stench of hypocrisy. One cannot make a submission without it being tagged political or partisan. Everyone is speaking toungue in cheek and men have refused to call a spade, even as the reality is starring us in the face simply out of fear. Shame on us all.  But even some who joined the bandwagon of populism thinking they can hide behind the 'others' scapegoating are seeking for who will defend them. The chicken has truly come home to roost. One simple truth is that many, if not most of us are responsible for what we are going through security wise in Imo state today; either by direct participation or by subtle support and aqueisance. For many of us it was simply politics which makes me to ask - who drinks poison by himself expecting another person to die by it? I repeat, let us stop our hypocritical sermonizing, emergency empathy and crocodile tears. Failed government, failed state bla bla bla. Y

OPINION:Ak47 WIELDING HOODLUMS ENGAGING IN GORRILA WARFARE IN IMO.BY SAM OBI

Recent security challenges witnessed in imo lately can not be far OPINION:Ak47 from act of gorrila warfare , wherein the militia group mix up with people to unleash mayhem, thereby giving security personnels tough time nipping the situation in the bud. Yesterday’s clash between hoodlums and security operatives in orji foretolds the operational method of these unknown gun men, they present themselves as saviours of the people while in real sense they are endangering them . Beyond sentiment, the goverment is doing everything humanly possible to nip the challenges in the bud, but the vibes and solidarity been showed up by some people to hoodlums appears to be belittling the efforts of the present goverment and moreso projecting it as either been overwhelmed or going against it’s citizens. The video clips from orji yesterday is a clear example, the hoodlums struck and on sighting the presence of the security operatives ran into the crowd of innocent people ignorantly hailing them for destab

After about two years, he launched Operation Kpochapu II. This helped the state in its drive to create a socially stable economy. It also helped the state in attracting foreign investments into Anambra. That explain

Prince Emeka Udedeme is the President, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Anambra State. In this interview, he looks at the spate of insecurity in Nigeria and Southeast in particular; marginalization of the Southeast in the politics of Nigeria; Anambra governorship election, among other issues. How do you think Anambra could prosecute the November 6 governorship election in the face of insecurity, as well as threats from pro-Biafra elements? There are security meetings going ongoing here and there. Stakeholders in the region and beyond are convoking meetings geared towards solving the problem of insecurity.
