Anambra 2021: NUF wants aspirants, parties to play by the rules.

As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), formally announced the time table for the governorship  race  in Anambra State, November, this year the Ndigbo Unity Forum (NUF) called on the stakeholders to play by the rules. The group in a statement made available to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State during the weekend  advised aspirants to go out and market themselves to the people of the State instead of thinking and plotting to win the election through the unorthodox means. Withdraw Army from Okporo Orlu Now--NUF

PSC PROMOTES 20,356 SENIOR POLICE OFFICERS; 9CPs TO AIG, 9 DCPs TO CPs

The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of twenty thousand, three hundred and fifty six, (20,356) senior Police Officers. Nine Commissioners of Police were promoted to the next rank of Assistant Inspectors General of Police and another nine, promoted from the rank of Deputy Commissioner to Commissioners of Police. The promotion is an outcome of the 11th Plenary Meeting of the Commission held in Abuja on Wednesday, January 25th, 2021, presided over by its Chairman, Musiliu Smith, a retired Inspector General of Police. New Service Chiefs Will End Boko Haram, Bandits & Other Security Challenges - Young Nigerian Voices.

The Young Nigerian Voices Initiative has commended President Muhammadu Buhari on the appointment of new Service Chiefs. PRESIDENT BUHARI APPOINTS NEW SERVICE CHIEFS

President Muhammadu Buhari has accepted the immediate resignation of the Service Chiefs, and their retirement from service. Those involved are the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar. President Buhari thanks the outgoing Service Chiefs for what he calls their “overwhelming achievements in our efforts at bringing enduring peace to our dear country,” wishing them well in their future endeavours. The new Service Chiefs are: Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff. The President congratulates the new Service Chiefs, and urges them to be loyal and dedicated in the discharge of their responsibilities.

NAUTH Management:Dr Ugbaja takes over as Acting CMD

The Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, CMAC, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH, Nnewi, Anambra State, Dr. Joseph Ugbaja, has taken over as the Chief Medical Director of the hospital in acting capacity, as the tenure of the immediate past CMD, Prof Anthony Igwegbe expired today.
