His Majesty Igwe Dr Robert C Eze (  Okofia Vi) has attended the 2021 Provincial ACM Conference held at St. Mary's Parish Ukpo. ACM is Anglican Children Ministry. His Majesty represented by  Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze, the principal secretary to the Traditonal Ruler commended the children organization for the event. The Theme of the conference is OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE. The Honorable Minister of State for Education, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba in continuation of his Visit to Taraba, today visited the Federal Government Girls College and the Federal Science and Technical College, both in Jalingo, capital of Taraba State. The Honorable Minister who was on a working visit to the state, took off to the schools immediately after church service in the State capital. The Honorable Minister expressed delight at the cleanliness of the FGGC Jalingo, while urging the staff, management and students of the school not to rest on their oars, as they can't afford to trifle with the future of the country, vested in the youths, students of the school. He also visited the new permanent site of the FSTC Jalingo, he expressed his disappointment at the level of work done at the site. He immediately directed all staff of the school to move to the permanent site, while contractors have been warned to hastened and finish up work or face the full wrath of the law.

The ongoing exercise for the registration  of all resident in Imo State leading to the issuance  of Imo Social Security Benefits Number (IMSSBN) has been misinterpreted by rumor mongers that Government plans to tax Pensioners. This falsehood as spread by the merchants of lies remains as fales as it was sold out. The issuance  of Imo Number is for everyone  resident in Imo and was established  by the State Government for statistical analysis in planning  purposes.  The law establishing  pension makes it clear that pension is not taxable, therefore it is an exhibition of ignorance by these Merchants to have propagated  falsehood to the public.  Based  on the elucidated, it has become  pertinent for clarification  that this is not a Pension verification  excercise; it is not a prerequisite for payment of pension or salary and no fee is charged. The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Chief Basil Ejidike, has disclosed that the state chapter of the party has gotten waiver to extend it ward congress Election after the November 6th Election in the state.  He however debunked the claims in some quarters that there was no governorship primary election in the state. Embattled former Governor of Imo states and Senator Representing Imo West in the National Assembly, Senator Rochas Okorocha, rattled by the recovery drive of the Imo State Government has filed over 120 cases in various courts across the nation, seeking to stop the Government from recovering stolen funds and assets. This was disclosed by His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma when the National Union of Pensioners reminded him about the N26.5B bail out funds received under the administration of Okorocha and meant for pensions and gratuity, which he promised during his campaign to recover when he becomes Governor. The new President of the National Pensioners in the person of Professor Godwin I. Akwumuisi with the Executive members of the National Union of Pensioners (NUP) lauded His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma on good works and performance in handling the affairs of the Senior citizens of the State. The Nigerian Supreme Court has affirmed that the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni as Chairman, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is legal and lawful.   The apex court also held that Mai Mala Buni’s position as Acting Chairman of the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee is not contrary to the provision of Section 183 of the CFRN as same is on a temporary basis which is not akin to Executive office or paid employment as envisaged by Section 183 of the CFRN.
