Nwajiuba visits Federal Goverment Colleges in Taraba, encourage staff to be more productive


The Honorable Minister of State for Education, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba in continuation of his Visit to Taraba, today visited the Federal Government Girls College and the Federal Science and Technical College, both in Jalingo, capital of Taraba State.


The Honorable Minister who was on a working visit to the state, took off to the schools immediately after church service in the State capital.


The Honorable Minister expressed delight at the cleanliness of the FGGC Jalingo, while urging the staff, management and students of the school not to rest on their oars, as they can't afford to trifle with the future of the country, vested in the youths, students of the school.


He also visited the new permanent site of the FSTC Jalingo, he expressed his disappointment at the level of work done at the site. He immediately directed all staff of the school to move to the permanent site, while contractors have been warned to hastened and finish up work or face the full wrath of the law.

Tinubu Appoints Chioma Awuzie Substantive Rector, Fed Poly Oko

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie as the substantive Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State.  Dr. Awuzie's appointment, which takes effect immediately for a five-year term, follows the recommendation of the Polytechnic's Governing Council, chaired by Sen. Federal Polytechnic Oko Holds Two-Day Recruitment Interview to Address Staff Shortages

The Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, has begun a two-day interview exercise aimed at recruiting qualified personnel to fill vacant positions arising from staff retirements and other forms of exit from service. The exercise commenced on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. and is being overseen by the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, who personally announced the names of shortlisted candidates. Addressing the applicants, Dr. Awuzie cautioned that while many candidates were invited for the exercise, only a limited number would eventually be engaged, citing budgetary constraints facing the institution.
