GOV. UZODIMMA INAUGURATES THE WINNING-TEAM BOARD MEMBERS OF ADAPALM

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has inaugurated the Adapalm Plantation board members at the Government House, Owerri considering tripartite agreement with the government, the roche company and the host community. In his address, Governor Uzodimma stated that it is in-line with the rehabilitation 3R mantra to turnaround the State’s economy and for the audacious empowerment of the indigenes, hence the rehabilitation of the moribund company. The Governor added that more than 30,000 jobs will be created when the company gets to its optimal level.  The Governor assured that the Government will not meddle into the operation of the board members, as what is required is a positive result from ADAPALM. The new board has Mustapha Chike-Obi, as Chairman and Mr. Paul Roche as Managing Director. #HopeNewAndElectronicMediaCenter

Ogbogwu Election: Youths Gives Anambra State Government 14 days to conduct Election in the market.

Aggrieved youths trading in Ogbo Ogwu International Market has given the state government 14 days to conduct in the market to avoid the ugly incident it may invite to the peaceful atmosphere in the state.  The youths who were visibly not happy with the development, said that those that does not want the election to hold in the market are the ones misinforming Goverment of the true state of things in the market.  Speaking to Newsmen, Mr Ikeabata a member of the caretaker executive lamented the fact that those that are behind the disruption of the election are those that are not popular in the market. Govt okays N1b for primary healthcare, approves construction of 135km rural roads in Imo LGAs

The governent of Imo State has approved the immediate release and disbursement of N1 billion for the rehabilitation of health centres in the 305 electoral wards across the state as part of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s agenda on primary health care.   Also approved is the proposal of the Governor to immediately construct 135 kilometers of rural roads or five kilometers in each of the 27 local government areas of Imo State before the return of the next rainy season.             Rising from the Imo State Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 presided over by Governor Uzodimma, the government also hinted that construction work is going on simultaneously on 25 roads in the State.   Briefing newsmen on the outcome of the meeting, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba said: “In an effort to ensure that promises made by this administration are kept, the 3-R administration has simultaneously embarked on the reconstruction of these roads to assuage the wor

BREAKING: EFCC charges Okorocha with N2.9 billion fraud

The EFCC has filed  charges, totalling 17 counts on Monday, at the Federal High Court, Abuja. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has charged Nigerian senator and former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, with allegations he conspired with others, including an APC politician and five companies, to steal N2.9 billion public coffers. EFCC filed the charges, totalling 17, on Monday, at the Federal High Court, Abuja, court documents exclusively obtained by PREMIUM TIMES show Credits: Premium Times In addition to Mr Okorocha, other defendants are Anyim Nyerere Chinenye, Naphtali International Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Pramif International Limited, and Legend World Concepts Limited. The charges were filed about the same time Mr Okorocha was declaring his intention to run for the office of the president in 2023.

Nwajiuba intensify efforts at curbing out of school children syndrome

With the increasing rate of Out-Of-School Children borne out of the several socio-economic factors, insecurity inclusive, the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education embarked on a national campaign on out of school phenomenon.  At the banquet Hall of the Niger State Government House, Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba reiterated the government's commitment towards increasing the number of children in schools.  He urged all stakeholders to put in more efforts in eradicating this menace. Joining him on this was the Executive Governor of Niger State, Alh. Abubakar Bello who asked the Minister to do more by getting international donor agencies to help fight this cause.
