- Youth empowerment, cardinal part of my govt, Uzodimma assures Imo youths Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo has distributed 2,700 smartphones and two cars to Imo youths as part of activities marking the St Valentine’s Day celebration. Ezekwuabor Community in Otolo Nnewi, Nnewi LGA has elected a new executive to pilot the affairs of the Community for another 4 years. This is coming at the the heels of a long wait by the community to have an elected leadership in the community.  Members of the new executive are Mr Udewulu Ezika, President Ezekwuabor community,secretary Mr Emma Agu,asistant secretary Mr Edwin Anaekwe,financial secretary Mr chibuzo ifeanyi,Mr Nchekwube Okoli treasurer, Mr Chigozie Okoli PRO, Chief provost Mr Aloy Okonkwo.  Speaking to newsmen after his election, the elected President General of Ezekwuabor Community, Mr Udewulu Ezika, thanked members of the Community for electiing him and his members to pilot the affairs of the Community. He promised to work hand in glove to ensure that the Community gets what is due to them.  He also promised to bring together the warring parties in the community to a round so that any issues within the community will be resolved.

The African nion Development Agency-New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA-NEPAD) says Nigeria recorded tremendous successes in infrastructure development and agricultural revolution during the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM). Princess Gloria Akobundu, Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD, said this at a news conference in Abuja on Thursday. Akobundu said that the country also recorded successes in humanitarian services and fight against corruption. ~ Calls For Protection Of Christian Values By The Church. The industrial town of Nnewi was agog  yesterday as the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi installed a new bishop with 115 Catholic parishes in Nnewi were present to formally witness the installation of the new catholic bishop of the diocese, after the retirement of the bishop emeritus Most Rev Hilary- Paul Odili Okeke.  The event which kicked off with a homily by the apostolic nunciature, His Eminence Antonio Guido Filipazzi, had 47 bishops in attendance led by the president of the Catholic Bishops Council Of Nigeria (CBCN), Most Rev. Hope Uzodimma warmly embraced Sen. Rochas Okorocha, a former Governor of Imo State who has always called out the incumbent as witch-hunting him. The event today at Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotel Abuja, saw the Governor of Imo state as one of the early callers and when Rochas Okorocha came into the event, the smile and pleasantries extended to him by Gov. Hope Uzodimma ultimately shows that despite the Governor has his job to do, his human nature will always see Rochas Okorocha as a friend and brother. A 22-year-old-man identified as Ifeanyi Ugwu was last week, at the Federal High Court 1, Awka, Anambra State sentenced to 3 years imprisonment without option of fine by Hon. Justice H.A. His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma, who Chairs the Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the Abuja Municipal Area Council Election, 2022, mediated the unprecedented reconciliation between the party's aspirants to the office of the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) as well as four councillorship aspirants.   According to the secretary of the campaign council of the Apc this move has not only  strengthen the  APC ahead of the election billed to hold on saturday but also shows that internal democracy is alive in the party.
