Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba PhD: A Silent Achiever with a Vision for Nigeria's Transformation

By Chigozie Igbo Jr

In the realm of Nigerian politics, their are individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes, driven by a passion to transform their country. Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba PhD is one of such individual's. My interaction with him recently, at his Apo Legislative Quarters office Abuja, says more of an intelligent young man, whose humility is out of this world. It was a normal interactive session, that sparked so much concern on how to drive progress and make the ordinary Nigerian happy. Even though it was not an interview session, but I picked salient points from his wealth of knowledge about Nigeria.

Hon. Nwajiuba is indeed a silent achiever with a great heart dedicated to unlocking Nigeria's potential as the giant of Africa. From his analysis on Politics and the Nigerian economy, I was indeed flabbergasted that if handed over the reigns of leadership at the national level, he will indeed transform Nigeria. Although he did not know I was picking those points, but I was intrigued when he said "I know you have gathered enough information to write a book", even though I wasn't recording. Getting such privilege is rare, but I pray it comes again.

From my interactions with him, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba's approach to transforming Nigeria is rooted in political economy narratives, that prioritize the well-being of Nigerians. He understands that economic growth and development are intricately linked to the political landscape, and that meaningful change requires a deep understanding of these dynamics. I saw a realist, and a patriot. I saw a young man with the vision to succeed, where others have failed. I saw an innovative driven intellectual and I was wowed. When we discussed about his days as the minister of state education, I now recollected why international agencies where always on him to educate them how he was able to deliver on ground breaking educational policies, during his stay at TETFUND, and as the former minister of state education during former President Muhammed Buhari's regime.

With a strong academic background and a huge wealth of experience in public service, Hon. Nwajiuba has developed a unique perspective on Nigeria's challenges and opportunities. His vision for the country is one of prosperity, stability, and growth, where Nigerians can live, fulfilling lives and reaching their full potential.

As a lawmaker, Hon. Nwajiuba has been instrumental in shaping policies that promote economic development, improve infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life for Nigerians. His commitment to the well-being of his constituents is evident in his tireless efforts to address their concerns and provide support where needed.

To many who don't know, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba is a Leader with a heart of humour and courage. What sets Hon. Nwajiuba apart is his genuine concern for the welfare of Nigerians. He is a leader with a heart, who understands the struggles and challenges faced by ordinary citizens and is driven to make a positive impact. His humility, compassion, and dedication to public service have earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and constituents. Recently, I was at his country home in Umuehie,Umuezeala Nsu, Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo state, he got many cracking their ribs with jokes, while also teaching them the dynamics of politics in Nigeria. One of such narratives was the " Agba line before akpoo peg, akpoo peg, a ga agbari line" meaning that before anything is done, there is need to put things in proper perspective.

Hon. Nwajiuba's work is a testament to the power of an individual's effort in shaping the future of a nation. Recently, he showed that we are Nigerians despite our faith, as he made sure he gifted food items to the less privileged during the ramadan at iftar and during the Easter period. His compassion for the people knows no bounds.  However, he would be the first to acknowledge that transforming Nigeria requires a collective effort. By working together, Nigerians can unlock their country's potential and create a brighter future for generations to come.

As Hon. Nwajiuba continues to work towards his vision of a transformed Nigeria, his commitment to the well-being of his fellow citizens serves as a beacon of hope. His story is a reminder that even the most silent among us can have a profound impact when driven by a passion for positive change.

#Watchvideo : SECURITY FORCES BURST THE CAMP OF UNKNOWN GUNMEN IN AKOKWA

Security Forces in the state through a coordinated intelligence report has bursted the camp of the unknown gunmen at Akokwa, Arondizuogu after a long gun duel which resulted to the death of some of the criminals and others arrested. These criminal elements have been known to be behind several attacks in the state such as the killing of police men in Mbaise, Aba Branch in Ehime Mbano, burning down of police stations, attack and attempted kidnapping of former Governor Ikedi Ohakim, abduction of Miss. P.P. Johnson, a female soldier in Okigwe and recently the attack in Akokwa that left many dead.
