The catholic diocese of Nnewi has celebrated its second Diocesan synod, tagged living the faith, in justice, peace and reconciliation in the catholic diocesan of Nnewi, with reference to Matthew 5:13-14 “ you are the salt of the earth..... You are the light of the world. In his homily the Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Dr Valerian Okeke thanked God for making it possible, for the catholic diocese of Nnewi to celebrate its second synod, an event which is usually takes place every ten years. He thanked clergy and the laity of the diocese for their support all these years and prayed that God should guide and protect them in their various endeavors towards the development of the church in Nnewi. His lordship, thanked the governor of Anambra state, Dr Willie Obiano, who was visibly present at the occasion, for the good works he has been doing in the state, especially in the area of security, and asked him not to relent.
