Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has been commended for the ingenous manner he managed the Covid-19 pandemic in the State. The  Human Rights,  Liberty Access,  and Peace, Defenders 'Foundation (HURIDE), which made the  commendation said because of the professional and humane way Governor Obiano handled Covid-19 pandemic in the State,  there was no spiking of the pandemic, while the people did not suffer unnecessarily as in other states like traders, Schools and other other busines interests stakerholders. The ongoing rehabilitation of Obodo-Ukwu and Ede Roads in Okpoko, Ogbaru Local has elicited rare commendation  for Senator Stella Oduah, representing Anambra North Senatorial zone in the Senate. A section of Traders in Agboedo United Market Nnewi, mostly women at the free zone, have lamented the arbitrary levy on daily on them by agents of Anambra state government. Nigerian Notch gathered, that the women who did not refuse to pay the levy, however stressed that they should be given time to organise themselves, because one who is on rent should pay, and as such they promised that they with come up with a resolution soon. Nigerian Notch gathered that one person, a woman of about 40 years old, whose name is yet to be ascertained, was confirmed dead by a medical doctor; while her baby was responding to treatments; adding that her corpse has been deposited at St. Edward Mortuary in Obosi, for preservation.
