  The long-awaited AstraZeneca – Oxford Covid-19 vaccines have arrived Nigeria. The vaccines arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport, Abuja around noon on Tuesday, onboard an Emirates airline. At the airport to receive the vaccines were the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and Secretary General to the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha. Also present were the Minister for Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, the Director General, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, Dr Faisal Shuaib, and the Director General of the Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control, NCDC, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu among others.

...As OPOCA Commences Ex-Governor's Recall Process  The recall of the former governor of Imo State and senator representing Orlu Senatorial District (Imo West), Senator Rochas Okorocha, has been endorsed by Orlu Zone stakeholders comprising the traditional rulers, Council of Elders and 12 Interim Management Committee (IMC) Chairmen from Orlu Zone. Valentine Ozigbo, the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, on Saturday, February 27, 2021, commiserated with the family of late Bishop (Dr) Arthur Nwachukwu, a celebrated clergyman who was the founder and Bishop of Rhema Deliverance Mission International. Bishop Nwachukwu passed away at the age of 78.  During the condolence visit to the Nwachukwu's at their family home in Umunya in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, Mr Ozigbo eulogized the late Bishop, describing him as "a gospel legend". "If you consider what the late Bishop Nwachukwu has achieved in this world, you can't but pay homage," the respected business leader and philanthropist said. "I am confident that Bishop's legacy of leadership and service to humanity will continue for generations to come.   Valentine Ozigbo, a frontrunner in the 2021 race for Anambra governorship, has submitted a feasible roadmap for "the actualisation of an Africa that helps youths reach their full potentials and by so doing, takes her rightful place in the world". Mr Ozigbo, a respected Nigerian business leader and philanthropist, offered his ideas on the liberation of the Black race on Thursday, March 26, 2021, when he received the Focus Africa Award for Service.  While speaking at the event held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja, Ozigbo maintained that the key to rewriting the story of the Black race is in Nigeria.  "Nigeria is uniquely positioned as the most populous black nation. Nigeria has the highest number of black people living outside Africa. If we can set Nigeria on the right path of development, it would have a significant rippling effect on Africa," Ozigbo remarked.  "This is why I am offering to play a larger role in actualising the liberation of the black race

The Minister of state for Education, Hon.  Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba(PhD) has tasked the participants of the just concluded, 23rd National Junior Engineers, Technicians & Scientists (JETS) Competition to improve on the experience they gained from the competition, which he said had the vision of developing talents throughout the country. In his closing remarks, Hon Nwajiuba stated that " I have been fully briefed about the wonderful hospitality of the director/CEO and the entire staff of the center, right from the pre visit by the officials of the ministry to the centre up to this moment, I was not expecting anything less, we are all one in the federal ministry of education" He however thanked all resource persons, coordinator, accompanying teachers and students from all the states and FCT for their untiring efforts towards making the competition a great success. The minister of state for education Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and his counterpart from the ministry of sports and youth development has kicked off the popular principals cup at the Agege stadium in Lagos. The first match of the competition was between Igbobi secondary school and Goverment college kaduna. While the minister of state for education and sports and youths development were joined by the deputy governor of Edo state, H.E Philip Shaibu, Daniel Amokochi and Mary Onyali.  The Principals Cup is a football competition amongst secondary schools, aimed at fostering camaraderie and identifying local football talent at grass-root level. The Competition begins at the start of a new academic session in secondary schools and ends mid June of every year, although the Covid19 may have distorted the process. The competition is expected to harvest talents who will represent Nigeria in future competitions.
