By Chidi Madu  Iho, Ikeduru LGA, Imo State  01/08/2021  Chief Charles Amadi, also known as Charvon, on Saturday, took desperation to the highest height when he manufactured ward congress results in Ikeduru LGA, covering those of other leaders, and that of the Deputy Governor. This is in cohort with the LGA IMC Chairman, Hon. Tony Iwuamadi. It would be recalled that Charvon, in recent past, was finding fun times in the denigration of office and person of Prof. Placid Njoku, the Deputy Governor of Imo State. What is surprising, however, is the uncanny effrontery in which he has defied the latest directive of Governor Hope Uzodimma for harmony and inclusiveness among party leaders across the LGA's.  Prior to the Congress, the Deputy Governor, Prof. Placid Njoku has convoked a six man leadership meeting in his house with Charvon present, but the IMC Chairman who is Charvon's protégé, absent. Charvon was to swap the absentee role with his political understudy in a follow

IMO APC CONDUCTS SUCCESSFUL WARD CONGRESS

Today, the Imo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) conducted a successful ward Congress across the state. In a widely participated exercise by party faithfuls, the atmosphere was very peaceful as everyone conducted themselves in an orderly manner devoid of the outcome. Independent reports from various wards indicated an early turn out of party members to their various congress centers. The ward Congress of the APC which held across the nation would produce ward Executives of the party and delegates to the LGA Congress. IMO APC CONDUCT PEACEFUL WARD CONGRESS, AS TWO FORMER DEPUTY GOVERNORS COMMEND PROCESS

The leadership of APC in Nigeria after wild consultations and deliberations set Saturday 31st July 2021 as the date for  ward congresses through out the nation. The Congress in Imo was almost stalled with litigations from expunged members of the party during the last elections, but for the timely intervention of stakeholders of the party in the state.  The embattled former Governor Senator Rochas okorocha, who is yet to revalidate his membership in the party together with his sympathizers having made frantic efforts to frustrate the proceedings of the party towards a fair, just, and  inclusiveness ward congress should be licking his wounds now. The efforts of his charade was grounded when an FCT HIGH COURT dismissed the injunction seeking to halt the congress . Imo APC party faithful vindicated the vision and mandate of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma whom they said has embarked on an evangelism of the party in the south east already.  Party faithful in their numbers tr

PRIMATE AYODELE MUST STOP STALKING SEN. UBA, APC - AUCC

We are once again constrained to call on all well meaning individuals in Anambra and beyond to help prevail on Primate Elijah Ayodele, Leader, INRI Evangelical Church to halt this sudden fixation on Distinguished Senator Andy Uba, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the politics of Anambra State. We urge him to copy good examples from men of God who understand that one of the most cherished values of Christianity is it's solute neutrality in human politics. It doesn't signify impassivity. It simply acknowledges that rulership comes from God. Therefore, a situation where a so called man of God wakes up at random to make strange permutations in the name of prophesies like he has been doing, particularly in the last few days on Anambra state politics leaves so much to be questioned. Again, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Ayodele, in another set of his controversial prophecies painted unflattering image of the forthcoming election in Anambra state

Ohakim joins APC

Former governor of Imo State, Chief Sir, Dr. Godson Ikedi Ohakim has formally joined the All Progressives Congress APC. The Isiala Mbano born administrator and politician since his last outing at the 2019 General Elections, has choosen to watch from the sidelines. However there has been pressure on the former governor to join a political party, as he has remained apolitical since 2019, right from the brief era of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, and the Senator Hope Uzodinma APC government. The leadership of the APC in the state, led by the State Party Chairman, Chief Marcon Nlemigbo, had paid the former governor a visit at his residence at Prefab in Owerri recently, to appeal to him to join the party. Ohakim had been silent over his intentions, and kept his decision to join the APC a close guarded secret, known only to himself.
