APC Ikeduru: Charvon Tears Party LGA Apart With Parallel Congress Result

By Chidi Madu
Iho, Ikeduru LGA, Imo State
01/08/2021

Chief Charles Amadi, also known as Charvon, on Saturday, took desperation to the highest height when he manufactured ward congress results in Ikeduru LGA, covering those of other leaders, and that of the Deputy Governor. This is in cohort with the LGA IMC Chairman, Hon. Tony Iwuamadi.

It would be recalled that Charvon, in recent past, was finding fun times in the denigration of office and person of Prof. Placid Njoku, the Deputy Governor of Imo State. What is surprising, however, is the uncanny effrontery in which he has defied the latest directive of Governor Hope Uzodimma for harmony and inclusiveness among party leaders across the LGA's.

Prior to the Congress, the Deputy Governor, Prof. Placid Njoku has convoked a six man leadership meeting in his house with Charvon present, but the IMC Chairman who is Charvon's protégé, absent. Charvon was to swap the absentee role with his political understudy in a follow up meeting where it was agreed that each identified leader would be responsible for the congress in his/her ward.

The party congress of Saturday July 31, 2021 which took place in all INEC designated wards of the LGA, was monitored by the DPO of Ikeduru LGA who was outside the state for official engagement, but was ably represented by the DCO. The DSS boss, and her NSCDC counterpart who monitored the exercise adjudged the exercise as free, fair and smooth in their respective reports.

It is this consensus, well adjudged results, the Deputy Governor submitted to party leadership in the state. But Chief Charles Amadi (Charvon),as usual, had other plans which he must execute.

In what could qualify as impudent desperation, Charvon has dismissed every aggregated efforts and results, going ahead to submit APC congress results for all the wards in Ikeduru LGA, covering the wards of every leader of the LGA, and that of the Deputy Governor.

Chief Charles Amadi, also known as Charvon, should go about the much vaunted 2023 Federal House of Representatives aspiration of his son with all decency, and respect. Submitting a ward congress result he concocted 4 months ago in the confines of his sitting room is certainly not a way of achieving the House of Representatives feat for his son.

There is no gainsaying the fact that he would stumble in his unbridled penchant in picking up unwarranted political battles against Prof. Placid Njoku, Dr. Uzoma Obiyo, Rt. Hon. Kelechi Kennedy Nwagwu,  Hon. Ambassador Uche Ogbuagu, Hon. Chief Sam  Aka, to mention but a few.

In the main time, the respective ward leaders of Ikeduru LGA are watching, with akimbo, to see what would become of the ward congress results in their beloved LGA. This is even as they have resolved to proceed to court to challenge the charade of a result Charvon is attempting to shovel into the party's mouth.

Charvon is on the move again to tear Ikeduru APC apart  despite Governor Hope Uzodimma's clarion call and express directive for unity and oneness. This latest attitude of Charvon which is an affront to other leaders in the LGA has rendered useless, the peace accord midwifed between him and Dr. Uzoma Obiyo by Senator Hope Uzodinma, leading to renewed rivalry which is detrimental to the political fortunes of APC in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State.
