On October 9, Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari,  revealed she recently fell sick and against all advice, refused to go to London to receive treatment. Mrs Buhari, while speaking at the stakeholders meeting on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH+N) said that she was recently forced to visit a hospital owned by foreigners when she fell sick. Mrs Buhari, however said when she fell sick, she was advised to go to London for medical attention, but she declined, opting to use the Aso Rock Clinic, unfortunately the necessary equipment were lacking at the clinic designated for the first family. The leadership of MASSOB in Anambra state has called on the government of Anambra state, lead by Chief Wille Obiano to direct Justice Otti,of Ogidi  High court to henceforth release their members who have been held in detention without trial for the last 4 years. Chief Arinze Igbani made this call recently at Ekwulobia, where he led other MASSOB members to a protest march, which was peaceful to ensure that their members who has been held captive without trail in various prisons in the state are released. More protests have continued to greet the continued incarceration of the chairman of the Capital Oil and Gas Industries Ltd, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, who has been in the detention cell of the Department of State Services (DSS) since May 6. Youths of Nnewi community in Nnewi North Council Area of Anamnbra State, today, staged a peaceful protest, demanding the release of Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah over the continued incarceration of their brother, the chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Ltd., by the officials of the DSS. The youths, under the aegis of “Nnewi Youth Forum”, carried placards and marched through major streets of the industrial city chanting songs depicting anger, and frustration over the continued detention of their brother and mentor.   The youths carried inscriptions in some of the placards which read: “DSS, obey court order”; “Please, take Ifeanyi Ubah to court, we are in a democratic state”; “This is democracy, not military rule”; “Is there no more respect for rule of law and human right in Nigeria?”; among other inscriptions.
