The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has indicated interest to partner Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra state, in order to develop and empower students, who are talented in acting.   This was revealed by the National President of AGN, Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, when he led the executive of AGN on a courtesy call to the rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, in her office. The call was made on Wednesday during the association’s quarterly meeting held in the nation's capital. Teachers under the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) resumed an indefinite strike on March 24, 2025, over the non-payment of the ₦70,000 minimum wage. Similarly, primary health care workers under the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) have been on strike since January 11, 2024, due to unpaid arrears and allowances. The Apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has distanced itself from a demand for the resignation of Enugu State governor, Barr Peter Mbah. Ohanaeze youths was reacting to a statement published by SaharaReporters, credited to one Mazi David Ani, who asked Mbah to resign over the herdsmen attacks on Isi-Uzo local government area. Mr Ani claimed to be chairman of Ohanaeze youths in Enugu State. However, in a statement issued on Tuesday by the National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, he described Ani as an imposter. Okwu said such identity was unknown to Ohanaeze at any of its level.
