NYSC Corps Member Renovates School in Bayelsa State After Witnessing Pupils Learning in the Rain

A Corps Member, Brown-Ofoeme Ebubechukwu Prosper (BY/24B/2451), has taken a bold step to restore dignity to public education in Bayelsa State by renovating four dilapidated classroom blocks at Community Primary School, Swali, in Yenagoa Local Government Area. The project, executed as part of his Personal Community Development Service (CDS), was driven by a heartbreaking encounter when he visited the school.  During a visit to the school, Brown Ebubechukwu witnessed pupils learning in flooded, roofless classrooms, drenched by rain and struggling to protect their books. The South East Zonal Executive Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has revealed that two serving governors from the region are set to officially defect to the party in the coming weeks. Speaking to journalists in Owerri over the weekend, the ADC National Vice Chairman for the South East, Hon. Chilos Godsent, confirmed that consultations are ongoing and nearing completion. He noted that the expected defections are part of the party’s broader strategy to reposition itself as a formidable political force ahead of the 2027 general elections. “We are in advanced talks with two serving governors in the South East.
