DR. CHIDOZIE NWANKWO FORMALLY DECLARES HIS GOVERNORSHIP AMBITION, DONATES 22 SIENNA BUSES AND N6 MILLION TO ANAMBRA APC.

In a very colourful ceremony at the Marble Arch Hotel, Awka, the man of the moment and foremost industrialist and philanthropist, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo (Overdose), CEO Wichtech Group, officially informed members of the State Working Committee, Party Officials and Stakeholders across the 21 LGAs of his intention to vie for the party's governorship ticket in the forthcoming APC governorship primary scheduled for June 26th, 2021.


In his welcome remarks, the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Chief Basil Ejidike (Ikwelle Nnabuenyi) welcomed all to the epoch making event and briefly explained the reasons behind the choice of Marble Arch Hotel for the declaration instead of the Party’s Secretariat at the Glass House.
According to the Chairman, the change in venue was in deference to the good people of Awka who are currently celebrating their annual IMO AWKA FESTIVAL. He therefore appealed for the understanding of party men and women.


 

The Chairman of Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo Campaign Council, Chief Obi Onwuachu, in his introductory remarks, informed the August gathering that Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo, a great son of Oko Kingdom, a worthy man of substance and CEO of Wichtech Group came to the Party’s Secretariat to officially inform the leadership of the party of his intention to contest for the Governor of Anambra State under the platform of APC. He went ahead to outline the numerous reasons why everyone who desires victory for APC in the main governorship election should lend their support to the governorship project of Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo stating among other things that he is a spotless politician, a great philanthropist, a worker in the vineyard of God and an astute administrator.

It was time for the Iroko to speak and Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo took over the stage. He commenced by stating that this 2021 is the year of victory for the All Progressives Congress in Anambra State. He declared that the governorship journey of our party will end in praise this time around. He rolled out his legacy in Wichtech where the structure is configured like a big family unit and promised to replicate that structure in governance. He said that there are more to unite us than divides us and appealed for unity among everyone so that we can march together and take over the governance of Anambra State.

In a passionate speech, the DG of the Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo Campaign Organization, Barr. Ejike Nwachukwu stated that there’s no better time for APC in Anambra State to get it right than now. He said despite the fact that APC is the ruling party at the center, our fortune in Anambra elections has been dismal owing to rancorous primaries and divisions in the past. He further stated that luckily for us in APC, a man like Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo has arrived with a breath of fresh air and followers.

Highlights of the declaration ceremony was the symbolic handover of the 22 Sienna buses to the State Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike for onward distribution to the Local Government Chairpersons and the cash donation of (Six Million Naira Only) N6,000,000 to support efforts of reposition the party in the State.
