SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO SUPPORTING INDIGENOUS TRADE AND INVESTMENTS



........COMMISSIONS  ULTRA MODERN PLAZA SHOPPING COMPLEX BUILT BY PLAZA OWNERS ASSOCIATION (PLOWASS) IN LAGOS.


On Wednesday being; August 10, 2022,  Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah at the Lagos International Tradefair market commissioned the new ultra modern shopping plaza complex built by Plaza Owners Association (PLOWASS) in Lagos State. 


Addressing the guests including the leadership and traders of various markets unions, Industry heads, Bank Executives and other Government officials, he restated his unwavering commitment towards supporting  indigenous businesses through the instrumentality of the legislature.


Senator Ubah however noted that Ndi Igbo and Anambra people in particular are by nature, traders and economic giants. "We dominate trade/commerce in Nigeria as a whole and contribute up to 60% input in the Nigerian GDP through trade and commerce. It is therefore my avowed determination to continually support the growth of indigenous businesses while promoting their welfare and ensuring their safety in Lagos State."


In their response, the leadership of PLOWASS thanked the Senator for his unrelenting support and also presented an Award of Honour to him for his outstanding contributions to the traders community. 


Senator Ubah therefore stated that he will continue to collaborate with relevant ministries and agencies of Government to support  indigenous businesses, and will continue ro provide an enabling environment for entrepreneurs to thrive.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.
