Senator Ubah Suspends Birthday Celebration, prays for adequate security situation in Anambara.



The senator representing Anambara South Senatorial District at the Senate, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has suspended activities leading to his 51st birthday celebration coming up on the 3rd of September 2022. In a statement released by the senator, he said" My dear family, supporters, well-wishers and friends alike, As we draw closer to my 51st birthday anniversary, I wish to register my appreciation and convey my heartfelt gratitude to you all once again for your support and steadfastness in the cause of my journey so far."


He stressed that September 3, 2022 which is his 51st  birthday anniversary is a day he looks forward to. He maintained that " it is with the deepest sense of l responsibility that I humbly implore my family, friends, well wishers and supporters to commemorate my 51st birthday by saying a prayer for me and our beloved State; Anambra due to the security crisis ravaging the state."


"My decision to opt for a very quiet and reflective birthday anniversary has become exigent given the prevailing mood of the state which does not call for celebration but a moment of solemn reflections and prayers. I will also want to use this period of reflection to pay respect to those who in one way or the other have fallen victims or lost beloved members of their family and friends to the ravaging insecurity."


Continuing, he said that "Birthdays are great opportunities for not only celebration but also reflection. While appreciating my family, friends and well wishers for their good intentions and elaborate celebration plans, it is pertinent to state that my 51st birthday celebration would be devoid of any fanfare or celebration. I am therefore requesting for a very quiet, reflective and prayerful anniversary."


He therefore commended the governor of Anambara state, Prof Charles Soludo, and pledged to partner with the Anambra State Government in their proactive efforts to curb the security menace in the state. "we must not let the crippling fear that has gained momentum as a result of the security challenges make us lose hope. Let us Keep praying for Anambra State and keep trusting in God while supporting the State Government.  In the end, we shall overcome!"


Conclusively, he gave God all the glory for adding another year to his life and prayed for better years ahead in the service of the Almighty God and humanity.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.
