2023 elections: YPP Chieftain Congratulates Senator Ubah, Rallies Support For Sir Ike-Edorji



As the March 11, 2023 House of Assembly elections draw closer, a chieftain of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Nnewi, Nnewi North local government area of Anambra state, Chief Ibe Okonkwo Michael  has said that every effort is being made to ensure that the party wins State Assembly seat for Nnewi North State Constituency.


Speaking to newsmen in Nnewi on Tuesday, March 7, Ibe who is the Obi of Umudara - Ogbuji - Umuezi, Obofia Nnewichi, congratulated Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah for his victory at the polls, and subsequent collection of his certificate of recognition from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).


He said, "I am a political stakeholder of YPP in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra state. I congratulate Senator Ifeanyi Ubah on his victory for the second tenure.


"As a stakeholder, I have also been moving around Nnewi North to mobilise support for the candidate of the party for the state house of assembly, Sir Augustine Ike-Edorji, because, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah cannot be everywhere."


While expressing gladness over Ubah's triumph over his opponents, Ibe Okonkwo also expressed hope that the senator would continue his developmental strides as he gears-up for another tenure.


He said himself and his team would continue to move around day and night to also rally support for the YPP candidate  for Anambra State House of Assembly; because, according to him, he will be supporting YPP and Ifeanyi Ubah 100%.


On the plea by Governor Chukwuma Soludo that Anambra people should support APGA on the forthcoming house of assembly election, he said said that every society needs to enthrone politicians and lawmakers that have capacity; not electing politicians based on sentiments or political affiliation.
