Hon. Chika Emedo meets with ICAPS staff charges them to be committed to the 3R initiative



As staff and workers beckons on Governor Hope Uzodinma to look into proper funding and renovation of ICAPS. 


The new SA to Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State on ICAPS, Pastor Chika Emedo has charged the staff of the establishment to be committed to the 3R  initiative of the Governor, which is geared towards making Imo State a prosperous State. He made this call while interacting with the Staff of the Government Agency. He said " Governor Hope Uzodinma as the Governor of Imo State has lived beyond the expectations of many and should be supported to make Imo a State to be reckoned with in the Country."


He marvelled at the innovations happening in the establishment and encouraged them to work harder to ensure that they live up to the core goals of establishing the Agency. He stressed that ICAPS as a Finishing School should be the last hope of the youths in the State, because the establishment has all it takes to get Imo into International limelight. 


While taking the SA to the Governor round the facility of ICAPS, the Head of Administration of the establishment, Chinyere Felicia Okwuegbulem stressed that the establishment has indeed placed Imo State in the frontier, especially in terms of Technology Advancement as the Agency has been the reason Imo comes tops in most of the Technology Fair's in the Country. She took the Special Adviser to the Imo Power Technology & Humanitarian Center, Imo Floor Mill, Cosmetology Center, Imo Agro Technology Development Center all in ICAPS, which is the brain behind most of the Technological Advancement in the State and beyond. 


At the Imo Power Technology Humanitarian Center, the HOD , Mr Godson Ononogbo displayed most of his Products, which includes: Ice Block Multiple Purpose Maker, Shawarma Toaster, Oven, APS Power, Fueless Generator, Solar Cooker, etc, which are all Products of the 3R Initiative of Governor Hope Uzodinma. 


The Administrator of ICAPS, Chinyere Felicia Okwuegbulem used the opportunity to intimate the Special Adviser to the Governor of the many challenges the Agency is facing, which is the dilapidation of the infrastructure because of the neglect of the past Administration. She therefore called on the Governor to come to the aid of the Agency by allocating the required Resources for its upgrade, stressing that the establishment has the capacity to add value to the 3R Initiative of the Government, which will in turn empower Women and the Youths in their thousands towards becoming self reliant in all their endeavors.


In his response the Special Adviser to the governor on ICAPS Pastor Chika Emedo thanked the staff of the agency for their patience so far and promised to take their requests to the governor. He said " From facts before me, it's obvious that if managed well, ICAPS will add more value to the 3R initiative of governor Hope Uzodinma. The technological advancement here is minding blowing, and the governor will work with us to ensure that this establishment gets the required resources to take Imo to international limelight."
