THIS INSULT ON THE SENSIBILITIES OF NDI ANAMBRA HAS INDEED TAKEN A MORE WORRISOME DIMENSION

Gov. Soludo has sacked Obi Achebe as Chairman of the Traditional Rulers  Council, BUT he was careful not to use the word *sack*.

Yes, we know there is a popular saying that if you want to hide important information from a black man, you hide it inside a book, but this is Anambra and not one educationally disadvantaged state in South Sudan.

Gov Soludo and his Chief Press Secretary have made a daring attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of Ndi Anambra,  but he forgot that this is Anambra and this is 2024 too when we no go gree for anybody.

According to the press release from his Chief Press Secretary: SOLUDO HAS SUDDENLY COME TO THE REALISATION THAT THE TRADITIONAL RULERS' COUNCIL IS AN ILLEGAL BODY THAT HAS OUTLIVED ITS SUPPOSED TENURE AND THAT OBI OF ONITSHA HAS BEEN OPERATING ILLEGALLY.

Accordingly, a new committee has been set up to draw up modalities for setting up a new body that will now consist of the traditional rulers, government functionaries, and others, all would be 'O yes' members whose only criteria for selection will be blind loyalty to the Governor.

THE IMPLICATION OF THIS IS THAT OBI OF ONITSHA CAN NO LONGER FUNCTION AS THE  CHAIRMAN OF THE ANAMBRA TRADITIONAL RULERS COUNCIL GOING FORWARD.

So why are the media operators of the state government denying the viral news that Gov Soludo has sacked Obi of Onitsha?

How can they not realise that this is Anambra, the frontline Igbo state before we fell into APGA misrule that has set us 20 years back? They forgot that this is Anambra, where our sons and daughters are still creating huge exploits across the world despite the challenges of bad governance we have at home.

The Soludo administration goes about bullying the traditional rulers, the poor market women, and the masses with agberos adorned in different sets of uniforms but will not drop a whimper or step foot at Osumorghu, Lilu and the other towns that they have cowardly ceded to the unknown gunmen.

While Gov Soludo and whoever is advising him to take this route of flagrant abuse of state power continues on this trajectory.

It is also important to remind them of the Igbo adage that goes thus;

When a man cooks for a community, they will eat and merry, but what happens when a community decides to cook for one man?

Security Forces in the state through a coordinated intelligence report has bursted the camp of the unknown gunmen at Akokwa, Arondizuogu after a long gun duel which resulted to the death of some of the criminals and others arrested. These criminal elements have been known to be behind several attacks in the state such as the killing of police men in Mbaise, Aba Branch in Ehime Mbano, burning down of police stations, attack and attempted kidnapping of former Governor Ikedi Ohakim, abduction of Miss. This is another assurance that our security operatives are leaving no stone unturned in the fight against banditry and other related activities. While it has become obvious that the activities of these non state actors are politically motivate
