As President Bola Tinubu prepares to visit Anambra State, popularly known as the "Light of the Nation," on Thursday, May 8, 2025, the state's security chiefs have convened an emergency meeting to strengthen security arrangements.
According to a press statement from the PPRO Anambra state comand SP Tochukwu Ikenga on Monday, May 5, 2025, said that the Anambra State Security Chiefs held a closed-door meeting that lasted for five hours, where they reviewed current security intelligence, assessed threat levels, and implemented fortified security measures within the capital city and strategic locations.

coordinated patrols, surveillance strategies among others
The meeting was attended by heads of various security agencies, including, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi (Rtd)
The comprehensive security approach reflects the commitment of Anambra State's security architecture to guaranteeing the safety of the visiting President, dignitaries, and citizens, while sustaining peace and stability across the state.
