2027 Coalition: Atiku's Aide Clarifies Coalition’s Position, Says ADA has not been Adopted

Aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Demola Olarenwaju, has denied reports that the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) a yet to be registered political party, has been adopted as the opposition coalition's platform for the 2027 elections. In a tweet on Saturday, Olarenwaju attributed the misinformation to the media, stating that Nigerian newspapers often contribute to the challenges facedbin the country most times.

According to Olarenwaju, a group is pursuing party registration for ADA, but this does not imply that the coalition has adopted it as their platform. He assured the public that when the time is right, the coalition's decisions and choices regarding ADA would be made public.

The development follows a letter by the Nigeria National Coalition Group (NCG) to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), seeking the registration of ADA as a new political party. The move has sparked speculation that prominent opposition figures, including Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufa’i, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi, might adopt ADA as their platform for the 2027 elections.

Olarenwaju's statement seeks to calm the speculation, urging the public to be patient as the coalition finalizes its decisionson the political party to use.

Federal Polytechnic Oko Holds Two-Day Recruitment Interview to Address Staff Shortages

The Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, has begun a two-day interview exercise aimed at recruiting qualified personnel to fill vacant positions arising from staff retirements and other forms of exit from service.
