The attention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Imo State Chapter, has been drawn to a fraudulent announcement circulating under the title “Imo ADC Youth Summit, Coming Up on 26th October 2025: Brochure Subscriptions.”
According to the false notice, the event is purportedly billed to hold at Amaechi Hall, Rockview Hotel, Owerri, on Sunday, 26th October 2025, with supposed keynote speakers including Uche Njoku, Ph.D and Amb. Sleek Ukoha. The impostors, led by one Justine Ambrose (claiming to be Committee Secretary), also went as far as publishing outrageous brochure subscription fees, ranging from ₦500,000 for full inside front cover page adverts to ₦100,000 for half-page inside adverts.
Shockingly, the fraudulent memo provides Access Bank Account Number 0050146533, in the name of Nobleiyke Edoziem, and telephone contacts 08065272120 and 08035412761, urging unsuspecting members of the public to pay into it.
The African Democratic Congress, Imo State Chapter, wishes to categorically state that:
The said “Youth Summit” did not originate from the ADC in Imo State, nor was it approved by the State or National leadership of our great party.
The announcement, brochure subscription drive, and all claims attached to it are fake, illegal, and of no effect whatsoever.
The ADC Imo State Chapter completely disassociates itself from the actions of these impostors and warns the public to steer clear of their fraudulent schemes.
We call on all well-meaning Nigerians, especially Ndi Imo, to distance themselves from these faceless mercenaries whose stock in trade is to dupe unsuspecting members of the public.
The National Chairman of the ADC, Senator David Mark, has further directed that such fraudulent elements be reported to security agencies and made to face the full wrath of the law.
The general public is hereby strongly advised to disregard and ignore this so-called “Imo ADC Youth Summit” and its fraudulent promoters.
Signed:
Hon. Chika Emedo
Youth Leader
ADC, Imo State Chapter
