Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna Commences Party Funding, Pays for All ADC Ward Offices in Nnewi North, Others

Former leader of the Apex Youth Organization in Nnewi North Local Government Area, Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna, has officially commenced the funding of his political party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), beginning with Nnewi North LGA.

Newday Reporters reliably gathered on Sunday that Amb. Ikebunwa has fully paid for all the ten (10) ADC ward offices in Nnewi North Local Government Area, following the earlier payment for the Nnewichi Ward office. This bold move signals a strong commitment to building a solid party structure at the grassroots level.

The former Special Assistant on Grassroots Mobilization to the late Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, through this action, has made a clear statement of intent to financially and strategically support the ADC as his chosen political platform. His objective, according to close associates, is to ensure effective representation for the people of Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency by laying a strong foundation for the party within the constituency.

Amb. Ikebunwa has also called on ADC Local Government and ward chairmen across Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo LGAs to reach out to him, assuring them of his readiness and commitment to ensuring that the party is deeply rooted at the grassroots. He emphasized that his desire is to carry the people along in what he described as an impending political revolution in the country.

Speaking to journalists on Sunday, Amb. Ikebunwa stated that his motivation is straightforward, to 'ensure that the ADC is fully established and operational within his constituency'. He noted that his actions are largely inspired by the passion and determination with which his leader, His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, is championing the cause for a new Nigeria.

He further explained that, as a seasoned grassroots mobilizer who played a key role in several grassroots successes recorded by the late Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, making sure that the ADC is well-structured, functional, and visible across the constituency remains his top priority.

With the party now receiving financial backing to aid its establishment across his constituency, Amb. Ikebunwa called on youths to join the ADC in large numbers and be part of the movement aimed at birthing a new Nigeria. He reassured the people of Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo of his unwavering support, pledging that he would not disappoint them if entrusted with their mandate.

Recall that in December, Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna, who is also the founder of the Good Governance Initiative, formally declared his intention to contest for the Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the ADC. As political activities continue to intensify, observers note that, judging by his grassroots popularity, visibility, and sustained engagement with the people, he is currently regarded as one of the most prominent and widely accepted aspirants for the position in the constituency.
